Word Atlas: Travel Word Search
Relaxing offline word games
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
80 countries, 800 real cities, one relaxing word search. No timers, plays offline, and a new Daily Adventure puzzle every day of the year. Start your first stop free.
Word Atlas is the only word search that teaches you something. Every puzzle is a real place - Lisbon, Kyoto, Cusco - with real landmarks and real facts. No timers, no move limits, and it all works offline.
REAL PLACES, REAL STORIES
Word Atlas turns a word search into a trip. Pick a country, land in a city, and find ten word-search stops themed on that exact spot - a market, a cathedral, a harbor, a hill of ruins. Each stop comes with real landmark facts and city curiosities you actually keep, whether you finish the puzzle in ninety seconds or come back to it next week.
HOW A JOURNEY WORKS
- Country to city to ten stops - a clear path, never a maze of levels.
- Every grid is seeded and fair - no two puzzles feel copy-pasted.
- Stop ten in every city is a little tougher, so the run has a proper finish.
- Finish five stops and the next city opens. Clear enough of a country and the next one appears on the map.
DAILY ADVENTURE
366 hand-written daily puzzles, one for every day of the year, in three moods: Easy for a quick unwind, Mystery for a themed challenge, Expert for the days you want to work for it.
COLLECT AS YOU GO
A passport that fills in as you travel. A travel log of every city you have visited. Hidden collectibles tucked into specific stops, worth hunting for on a second pass. This is a scrapbook as much as a puzzle game.
RELAX, NO PRESSURE
No countdown clock. No penalty for taking your time. No move limit chasing you off a puzzle you were enjoying. Word Atlas plays the same on a plane with no signal as it does at home on wifi - progress saves locally and syncs quietly when you are back online.
TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS
Add friends, compare stars on the leaderboard, and see how far along the map everyone has gotten. Playing solo works just as well - the leaderboard is there if you want it, not required.
WHERE YOU CAN GO
80 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania - 800 real cities and 8,000 authored stops, from Lisbon and Rome to Kyoto, Cairo, Cusco and Cape Town.
FREE TO PLAY
Word Atlas is free with ads. Remove ads for good with a single purchase, or buy coin and hint packs if you get stuck on a tricky grid. Nothing you need is locked behind a paywall - the whole map is playable for free.
