Foretold is a prediction game with friends. Call it, lock it, and grade it later: a prediction journal that scores your calibration, plus duels that settle who actually called it. Predict with friends for bragging rights, not money.
Write down what you think will happen, say how sure you are, pick the day it settles, and lock it. No edits. No quiet deletions. No rewriting history after the fact. When the day comes, you grade yourself: right, wrong, or void.
Do that ten times and Foretold shows you the number almost nobody ever sees: your calibration. "When you say 73%, you're right 55% of the time." It's a little confronting, and then it makes you better: at forecasts, at plans, at knowing when to hedge and when to commit.
HOW A CALL WORKS
One sentence, up to 200 characters. A confidence between 50% and 99% on a slider. A resolve-by date, and a category. Then a screen that restates exactly what you're locking, because after that the only thing you can do to it is grade it.
DUELS: PREDICT WITH FRIENDS, HEAD TO HEAD
Think a friend is wrong? Make it official. Send them an eight-character code. Both of you pick a side and a confidence, and neither can see the other's call until both have committed. When it settles you each file a verdict on the claim itself: agree and it resolves cleanly, disagree and it's recorded as a split. Your record sticks around. Duels are free for everyone, always, and there is no feed, no discovery and no way to see a duel you weren't given the code for.
WHY KEEP A PREDICTION JOURNAL
Most people think they're well-calibrated and have never actually checked. A prediction journal is the only honest way to find out: write the call down before you know the answer, grade it after, and let the pattern across dozens of calls tell you something your gut can't. Foretold is that journal, plus the friend who keeps you honest about it.
WHO PLAYS FORETOLD
People who make a lot of calls and want to know if they're actually good at it: "the market drops before Friday," "this launch slips," "the trade goes through." Friend groups who argue about sports, elections or office gossip and want the argument settled instead of re-litigated. Anyone who's ever said "I called it" and wanted a record to prove it.
CALIBRATION, NOT JUST A WIN RATE
Getting a call right at 51% confidence and a call right at 95% confidence shouldn't count the same, and in most places they do. Foretold's calibration curve is what actually tells you whether your confidence means anything: whether your 90% really happens nine times out of ten, or you're just saying numbers.

Your predictions never leave your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, no feed and no followers. Only duels involve our server, because a duel needs two people. Reminders are local to your device. There are no ads.

This one is under the hood. We added anonymous usage measurement so we can see which steps people get stuck on and fix them. It never sees the wording of a prediction, your nickname, or a duel code, and it does not read the advertising identifier on your phone. Our privacy policy now says exactly what it collects.
