Galka 2.0 is a redesign of the whole app, on the Mac and on the iPhone. TODAY, IN THE ORDER IT HAPPENS • Today is split into Morning, Afternoon, Anytime and This Evening • Your next timed task is highlighted, with a countdown to it • Calendar events can appear among your tasks (optional, read-only) ALSO • Tap a task on Today for a quick view with one-tap actions • A new date sheet: any day or time in two taps • Upcoming has a week strip with pinned days • Projects show progress rings and tag chips. A project's tasks are grouped by date, with filters, and completed tasks are folded away. • Inbox has age groups and a mode for sorting tasks one by one • In Select mode, the action bar replaces the tab bar • The Next Up Live Activity starts 45 minutes before a task is due and has buttons to delay it 15 minutes or move it to tomorrow • Tags suggest as you type; separate several with commas or semicolons • The new-task form opens compact, and Return adds the task

Bug fixes and stability improvements.

• Galka now syncs in the background overnight while your iPhone is charging, so your tasks and widgets are up to date when you wake up. • Settings shows whether background sync is on and when it last ran, with a shortcut to turn it on if iOS has it off. • Reminders now switch to the new language when you change it in Settings. • Small fixes and improvements.

The Live Activity is now a countdown to your next task with a time on it. It appears when that task is within two hours or has just gone late, shows how long is left, and carries Done and Delay buttons you can use straight from the Lock Screen. Days with nothing scheduled by the clock get no Live Activity at all. Set a date for several tasks at once from the selection bar, with or without a time. Reminders keep the language you chose and name the day they are for, instead of saying "tomorrow" long after the day has turned over. The Today widget stays right through midnight, even while Galka is asleep, and refreshes in the background whether or not you are signed in. Your edits in a task now save when you close it. Fixes to the sync indicator and to Russian wording.

Live Activity for today See today's progress on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: a progress ring, how many tasks are left, how many are late, and the next few tasks underneath. It appears only while something is still due — the last task of the day dismisses it, and adding a new one brings it back. Turn it on in Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ Live Activity. App icon badge The icon can now show how many tasks are open today, overdue included. On by default in Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ App icon badge. Haptics when you tick something off Completing a task gives a firm tap, un-completing a softer one — so undoing feels different from doing. Background sync Galka now syncs as soon as the network comes back, keeps up while it is in the background, and refreshes the widget before you open the app, so the Home Screen is already right. Changes made just before you dismiss the app now finish uploading.

Dictation • Tap the microphone in the compose card and speak a task — the words go into the title field, where dates, @projects and !priorities are parsed the same way as typed text. Nothing is filed until you tap +, so you can check what was heard first. • Pick a dictation language in Settings › Tasks, independently of the interface language. • The widget has its own microphone: tap it and the card opens already listening. Faster capture • Type @, # or ! and choose a project, tag or priority from the suggestions that appear. • Notes now hold several lines. • Return at the end of a checklist item starts the next one. • Duplicate a task (⌘D), or copy it as plain text (⇧⌘C). • Switch a project between List and Board straight from the toolbar (⌘1 / ⌘2). • On Mac, the quick add panel can be dragged wherever you want it. On iPhone • The task list is a native list now — smoother scrolling and standard swipe actions. • The section header stays put while you scroll. • Shake the phone to undo the last change. Small things • A new task slides into the list with a soft glow, and the list scrolls to meet it. • A task you have just ticked holds its place for a moment before it leaves, so an accidental tap is easy to take back. • Larger, clearer text in the widgets.
