Museum Curator Puzzle

You take charge of an empty museum hall and a catalog of objects from storage. Decide what belongs in the exhibition, place each piece on the tiled floor, and make the room tell a coherent story. No timers, no reaction tests. Move something, reconsider it, move it again. When it feels right, ask the director for a review. Every object comes with placement rules. Lighting zones are visible on the floor: warm, focused, dim, or diffuse. Some pieces need a specific zone, while fragile paper or textiles may need to avoid one. Paintings, drawings, and maps must touch the outer edge. Objects can occupy from one to six cells. • Match objects with related themes. • Use interpretation plaques to connect groups. • Keep brass visitor paths clear. • Respect conflicts between themes. • Stay within the hall's area limit. An object only works when it stands near something related to it. Ritual can connect with royal life, craft with written sources. A lonely artifact may be correctly lit, yet still add nothing to the narrative. Later halls introduce visitor paths and themes that cannot sit beside each other. Your score stays visible while you work. The director scores the exhibition out of 100 for completeness, lighting, placement, and narrative connection. Red notes are rule violations and block the hall from opening. Amber notes cost points but do not stop progress. After the first review, problematic objects are marked directly on the floor. There are 12 halls across four wings, with new objects opening over time. The first launch explains the idea, the first hall teaches the controls, and the curator guide keeps the rules available. Hall briefs show local rules and lighting; object cards show themes and related pieces. Dark graphite rooms, brass details, soft light, and subdued room noise create a calm mood. You can add a curator profile photo and adjust sound, ambient noise, haptics, lighting-letter labels, and calm animation mode.
