Passn is a social network built around the people you actually cross paths with: the same street, the same café, the same morning commute. Instead of an endless feed of strangers, Passn starts from where your day really happened and lets you connect, share moments and join communities with the people around you. HOW IT WORKS • Crossings: when your path and another member's path overlap in time and place, you both see it as a crossing on the map. Only an approximate area and time are ever shown, never anyone's live location. • Connection requests: send a short request to someone you crossed paths with. If they accept, a chat opens. Nobody can message you out of the blue. • Moments: share a photo or a few words pinned to a place, with the people nearby, with a community, or with everyone. See what is happening around you on the map and in the Moments feed. • Communities: join groups built around what you already do, morning runners, coffee people, new in town. Talk in the group, plan meetups, and let the next crossing happen on purpose. • Chats and calls: text, photos, voice notes and GIFs with your connections, plus voice and video calls. PRIVACY FIRST Location readings are indexed into coarse cells, and a crossing is stored as the midpoint between two people, shifted by a random offset. Your exact position is never shared. Location is optional, works only while you allow it, and can be switched off at any time. Report and block work everywhere in the app and are enforced on the server. Profile verification is optional and confirms that a real person is behind the photos.
