• Read one verse at a time with a focused swipe-based experience
• Switch to Full Chapter view when you prefer traditional reading
• Search scripture across all five standard works
• Bookmark and favorite verses
• Track reading progress and streaks
• Choose from multiple themes, fonts, and reading settings
DEEPEN YOUR STUDY
Tap a verse to explore additional study material, including explanations, topics, word studies, symbolism, historical context, related scriptures, reflection questions, application ideas, and prayer prompts.
Some study material is generated with artificial intelligence. AI-generated content is provided as a study aid and may contain errors or interpretations that should not be treated as authoritative doctrine.
Where available, Plates also provides links to General Conference talks that cite the selected scripture. These citations are derived from published talk references rather than generated by AI.
GUIDED READING PLANS
Explore devotional reading plans centered on topics including Jesus Christ, faith and spiritual growth, repentance and change, challenges and temptation, family and relationships, discipleship and service, personal development, peace, and hope.
Each plan combines scripture passages with explanations, reflection questions, and practical applications.
GROW YOUR FAITH
A visual mustard-seed-inspired Faith tracker grows as you engage with scripture, save verses, and participate in prayer. It is designed as a motivational progress feature, not as a measurement of personal worth or spirituality.
PRAY WITH OTHERS
Browse prayer requests shared by the community and choose to pray for others. Signed-in users can submit prayer requests, indicate that they prayed for someone, participate in comments or notes where available, and manage their own submissions.
Community content is user-generated and does not represent the views of the app developer or any religious organization. Users can report inappropriate content for review.
ACCOUNT OPTIONAL
You do not need an account for core scripture reading and many progress features. A free account is required for community participation and enables supported data to sync across devices.
PRIVACY & CONTROL
Guest reading and progress information can remain on your device. When you create an account, supported account and progress information is stored to provide synchronization and community features.
You can delete your account from within the app. Account deletion removes associated app account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
IMPORTANT
Plates is an independent scripture study application and is not an official product of, endorsed by, or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scripture, General Conference, and other referenced materials remain subject to their respective rights and attribution information. See Acknowledgments, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service in the app for additional information.
