Unfitly: Strength & Capacity

For GLP-1 and starting at zero

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.

If you get winded on one flight of stairs, most fitness apps are not built for you. They assume you can already do a burpee. This one starts by finding out what you can actually do today, and then asks for the smallest useful thing. LOSING WEIGHT FAST? If you have been told to do resistance work while the weight comes off and handed nothing you can actually start from, this begins where you are. Unfitly asks what you can do today, gives you one movement — about a minute on day one — and adds a pulling exercise from week eight, because that is the pattern home programmes skip. Protein is a single daily tap: a note to yourself, never a food diary and never a figure we set for you. It measures what your body can do. It does not measure body composition, it does not manage or track medication, and it calculates no doses of anything. A REAL MEASUREMENT, NOT A GUESS Twelve questions, about two minutes. You get a number — your functional capacity in METs — and a plain sentence explaining what it means. Some people find it lower than they expected. That is the point. You cannot plan from a feeling. We never ask your weight. Not once, not ever. THE NUMBER THAT MOVES FIRST Thirty seconds on a chair, once a week. Count how many times you can stand up. It is the measurement that improves before the scale does, and watching it climb is the thing that keeps people going. SMALL, AND ANCHORED TO YOUR DAY Sit-to-stands. A two-minute walk after a meal. Standing up once an hour. The programme steps up when you have been consistent — eight of the last fourteen days — not when the calendar says so. Miss a week and nothing is lost; there are no streaks to break. If something hurts, say so. It drops the movements that aggravate that joint and keeps the rest, instead of stopping everything. CAN I MANAGE THAT? Airport terminal. Three flights of stairs. A suitcase upstairs. Carrying the shopping in from the car. Ask, and get an answer from your own capacity rather than a guess. WE WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT Set a goal with a date — a wedding, a trip, a grandchild. If you are not going to be ready in time, it says so, and says how far off you actually are. No other app in this category will tell you that. WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGED, IN WRITING At six weeks, three months, half a year, it writes you a short account built from your own numbers. Including the weeks that went badly. A record that can only report good news is a marketing asset, not a record. BUILT FOR THIS, HONESTLY Every movement is priced using the 2024 Adult Compendium of Physical Activities. Safety screening is triage, not exclusion — a joint problem or being over 65 changes what you are asked to do, it does not shut you out. Chest pain or a recent cardiac event, and it holds the exercises back and tells you to see a doctor. Everything stays on your phone. No account, no sign-up, no server, no analytics, no ads. This measures. It does not diagnose. It is not medical advice, and it does not replace your doctor. FREE, AND IT STAYS FREE The assessment, the capacity score, the weekly measurement, the programme, the movement guidance and everything you record are free — and they stay free. Unfitly Pro adds two: the written record — a short account of what actually changed in your own numbers, at six weeks, three months, six months and a year — and the full PDF report of every reading with its date, to take to an appointment. In the US, Pro is $9.99 a month, $49.99 a year, or $79.99 once — the App Store shows your own country's price above. We only ask after your first weekly check has shown a gain. If it never helps you, it never asks. Unfitly is built for adults. The measurement it uses is not validated in under-18s, so if you are younger than that, go through it with a parent or guardian and talk to a doctor before starting. Nothing changed in the app itself — this is a store-listing update so the right people can actually find it. If you get winded on a flight of stairs, or you're on a GLP-1 and worried about losing strength along with the weight, Unfitly should have been showing up in your search results. It wasn't.
