On a 90°F (32°C) day, asphalt may reach 145°F (63°C). Pavvy forecasts local surface temperatures and the heat dogs feel near the ground, helping you choose when to walk. Air temperature alone does not tell the whole story at ground level. On a 90°F (32°C) day, sun-exposed asphalt may rise above 140°F (60°C). Dogs walk much closer to the ground, where conditions can be very different from the air temperature experienced by people. Pavvy is a weather app that estimates surface and near-ground temperatures from weather data, helping you decide when to head out for a walk. SURFACE TEMPERATURE FORECASTS View estimated temperatures for asphalt, concrete, and grass by the hour, and see how conditions may change throughout the day. DOG-EYE-LEVEL TEMPERATURE See an estimated temperature at approximately 12 inches (30 cm) above the ground and compare it with the standard air temperature. SURFACE TEMPERATURE HEATMAP — PREMIUM View estimated temperatures as colors overlaid on a map. Compare conditions between locations, such as parks and major roads, to help inform your route planning. UP TO 16-DAY FORECASTS — PREMIUM Plan outings and trips in advance. The free version includes forecasts for up to 8 days. AVAILABLE IN 21 LANGUAGES Use Pavvy in supported locations around the world.
