See which apps drain your MacBook battery, in watts, next to battery health, cycle count and temperature. No account, and nothing leaves your Mac. See which apps are draining your MacBook battery, right from the menu bar. WattMate shows every app's power use in watts, your battery health, cycle count and temperature, and with Pro, how many minutes you would get back by quitting an app. WHICH APP IS DRAINING YOUR BATTERY • Every app's power use in watts, updated live, with the heaviest at the top. • With Pro: how much battery life you would get back by quitting an app, in minutes. • A notification when an app keeps using more power. • Works on battery and on the charger. AI CODING AGENTS • Command line agents such as Claude Code, Codex CLI and Cursor Agent get their own row in the app list, ranked by watts like any app, with a note while a task runs. • What an agent costs the battery: the heavy work it runs, such as builds and tests, and everything else it did over the last 7 days. • When an agent leaves a process running after its session ends, WattMate tells you and offers to copy the command that stops it, for you to paste into Terminal. • A notification when a long task finishes, with a picture of it you can share. BATTERY HEALTH AT A GLANCE • Battery health: the capacity your battery holds now against its design capacity, in mAh and as a percentage. • Cycle count, against the cycles Apple designed the battery for. • Live battery temperature. • Time remaining in the menu bar, and time to full while charging. • Charger details: what your power adapter is rated for and how much it actually delivers. BATTERY LIFE HISTORY • Each run on battery: how long it lasted, how much charge it used and which apps used the most. • Each night: how long your Mac slept and how much charge it lost while asleep. • Today's range: how low the charge went and how high it came back. ALERTS AND SHORTCUTS • Charge alerts at 70, 80 or 90 %, when the charger is plugged in or out, and when the battery runs warm. • Shortcuts, Spotlight and Siri: ask for the charge, time remaining, battery health or cycle count. FREE AND PRO Free: the app list with watts, battery health, cycle count, temperature, your last run, your last night and each agent's latest task. Pro is a one-time purchase, no subscription. It adds the minutes each app would give back, keeps every run, every night and every agent task, adds weekly, monthly and all-time totals and a weekly summary of your agents, and shows how your battery ages month by month. HOW IT MEASURES Battery health and cycle count come from the same registry macOS reads. On macOS 27, System Settings may show a different health figure, and the app explains why next to the number. Time remaining is macOS's own estimate. App watts come from the energy counter macOS keeps for every app. An App Store app can only read each app's own processor energy, so web content, graphics and the shortest-lived helpers count toward "Screen and system", and the minutes lean low. PRIVATE WattMate has no network access, no account and no analytics. Your data stays in a file on your Mac. REQUIREMENTS macOS 14 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon. On a desktop Mac with no battery, WattMate shows each app's share of the processor's work instead of watts.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• AI coding agents get their own row and a page with what they cost. • Redesigned statistics window. • Choose which sections the panel shows. • More accurate watts and bug fixes.
