In My Voice
Read books with audio Locally
Free · In‑App Purchases
Most reading apps make you faster. This one asks whether you kept anything.
In My Voice reads your books aloud and highlights every word as it is
spoken, so you can follow the page with your eyes or put the book in your
ears and keep them free. A speed reading mode holds one word still and
feeds them to you as fast as you find useful.
After a few paragraphs a small dot appears in the corner of the page. Tap
it and the app asks what just happened. You answer first, in your own
words. Only then does it show you the passage. That order is the whole
feature. Dunlosky's 2013 review of ten study techniques rated recall
practice high and rereading low.
Nothing is graded and nothing is saved, so it cannot turn into a test worth
skipping. Turn it off entirely if it is not for you.

SPEED READING
- One word at a time, anchored so your eye never moves
- 100 to 1000 words a minute
- The sentence stays under the card, and you can drag back through it

- The voices and the summaries run on the phone
WHAT IT COSTS
