『話が通じなさすぎるRPG』は、一見すると普通の王道ファンタジーRPG。しかし、人々の会話だけが意味不明になってしまった世界を舞台にした、ストーリー重視の異色RPGです。
主人公たち四人だけは互いに普通に会話できますが、町の人々は支離滅裂な言葉ばかり話します。それでも表情や行動には確かな感情があり、プレイヤーは言葉ではなく状況から真実を推理しながら旅を進めます。
冒険の途中で各地の異変を解決し、少しずつ世界の秘密へ近づいていく四人。しかし、正しいと思っていたことが少しずつ揺らぎ始め、最後には世界そのものの真実と向き合うことになります。
そして物語の結末には、「会話とは何か」「理解するとは何か」を問いかける、切なくも印象的なエンディングが待っています。
