- Set any http or https URL, or a blank page
- Enter the URL on the first new tab, or later from the extension options page

The extension only replaces the new tab page after you enable it and choose it as the page Safari should open for new tabs
On iPhone and iPad, turn the extension on in Settings, then set Safari → Open New Tabs to Custom New Tab URL for Safari. On Mac, enable it in Safari Settings and allow it to take over new tabs when Safari asks
