You can memorize a thousand words and still freeze mid-sentence. Unscript has you run the same conversation four times — with less of the script each time. By the fourth, you don't need it.
■ Four levels, the script fades away
1 Beginner: read the full line aloud and get it flowing
2 Intermediate: half the key words are blanked out
3 Advanced: only first letters remain — the hint is there, but you can't read off it
4 Ultra: your line is hidden. You see the meaning and say it yourself
■ One rule for passing
At most one wrong word per line. Get every line right and the level is cleared. No percentage thresholds to remember — you can count your own mistakes.
■ Know exactly what you missed
Word-by-word scoring, with anything you didn't say marked in red. Homophones count as correct — "Li" and "Lee" sound identical, and this is speaking practice, not spelling.
■ Hear your own voice
Play back your own recording of every line and compare it with the model reading, side by side. Recordings live on your phone only for the current session and are deleted when you leave.
■ Tap any word
Every word in every dialogue gives you a definition and pronunciation. All 2582 entries ship inside the app — no network needed.
■ Spaced repetition
Finished dialogues come back at 1 / 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 / 60 / 120 / 240 days, then graduate. Going script-free isn't a one-off; it's remembering.
■ What you practice
22 domains, 61 real situations, 562 dialogues, 4500 turns. Not "daily life / travel / work" — that's how content writers think. Buying a coffee isn't one conversation, it's twenty: the normal order, the wrong drink, the card that won't read, asking for the Wi-Fi. Different words every time.
■ Recordings never leave your device
Speech recognition runs on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to us. No account, no sign-up, and it works in airplane mode.
■ How much is free
The first two dialogues of one situation in each of the 22 domains — 44 dialogues, all four levels. Not a few minutes of trial: the whole thing.
Unscript Pro opens all 562 dialogues plus everything added later. Monthly and yearly subscriptions, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and does not renew.
