Stories your child reads aloud

Rimdal is a reading app for children who are learning to read on their own.
Your child reads a story out loud, and the app follows along, word by word. Each word lights up as your child reads it. There are no red marks and no grades — just a story that keeps going.
When a word is hard, Sigel the snail offers help. The story moves on, and the effort counts.
The stories are short and written for early readers, in English and Swedish. Alongside them are longer picture books to grow into, told in chapters, with a picture on every page. Each child reads in their own language, at their own level, and the first stories we suggest are matched to your child's age.
After each short story, Sigel asks one question about it. There is no right answer and no score. It is a conversation about the story, not a test.
A parent mode shows how often and how long your child has read. It shows a habit, not a grade.
Three promises:
• No ads.
• No in-app purchases.
• No tracking.
Speech recognition is provided by Apple while the microphone is on. Rimdal does not keep the audio or the text.
