SixKit

Six tools, one menu bar

Only for Mac

Copy text that can't be selected, park a file until you know where it goes, hide your desktop before a call. Quick notes, a to-do list and QR codes. SixKit lives in your menu bar and gathers six small tools you would otherwise hunt for across six separate apps. One icon, one keystroke each, nothing in your Dock. ▸ CALQUE: text from anywhere on screen Select any region of the screen and the text is recognised and copied to your clipboard. A screenshot, a paused video, a locked PDF, a photo: if it is on screen, you can take it. Recognition runs on Apple's Vision framework, entirely on your Mac, so no image is ever uploaded and none is kept. Shortcut ⇧⌘T. ▸ LA BOITE: drop a file somewhere while you find where it goes You start dragging a file and realise the destination folder is not open. Instead of starting over, shake the mouse without letting go of the file. A small window opens under your cursor and you drop the file into it. Your hands are free again: go and open the right folder, then drag the file back out of the window. Shortcut ⇧⌘B. ▸ PRESENTATION: a presentable desktop in one keystroke Before you share your screen, cover the desktop with a neutral background: no personal icons, no stray windows, no wallpaper you would rather not explain. Built-in gradients or your own image. Shortcut ⇧⌘P. ▸ NOTES: sticky notes that stay put Floating notes you drop anywhere on screen, in six colours. Pin the ones that matter and they come back on the next launch, exactly where you left them. Their contents are encrypted on disk. ▸ QR CODE: a link, a code Paste a URL or any text and get a QR code ready to scan, export or drag straight into a document. ▸ TO-DO: the tasks you note in two seconds A short list reachable from the menu bar, with themes to keep separate projects apart. No account, no sync, no friction. Shortcut ⇧⌘L. ▸ BUILT FOR macOS • 11 languages • Light and dark mode • Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later • Optional launch at login ▸ PRIVACY, PLAINLY SixKit contains no networking code at all. Not an HTTP client, not a socket, not a third-party SDK. This is not a promise of good behaviour: the app is simply incapable of sending anything anywhere. No account. No server. No analytics. No tracking. Your notes, your tasks and your capture history are encrypted on disk with AES-GCM, using a key held in your own Keychain. The only permission SixKit asks for is screen recording, which Calque needs to read the region you select. Decline it and the other five tools work exactly as before.
