OFFLINE
Vocabulary, sentences, articles, native audio, tests, flashcards and games all work with no connection. Stroke-order animation and the handwriting pad download each character's stroke data the first time you open that character, so they need a connection once per character.
WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE
HSK 1, 3 and 5 in full. Elementary Grades 1, 3 and 5. All four mini-games, unlimited speaking practice and unlimited flashcards. No account, no sign-up, no email required.
McCHINESE PREMIUM
A subscription unlocks HSK 2, 4 and 6, Grades 2, 4 and 6, and removes ads throughout the app. Choose a 1-month or a 6-month auto-renewing plan.
SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
