PillPop helps older adults and families manage medication reminders and records with profiles, Family Voice, Apple voice, label scanning, and a simple senior mode.
PillPop makes daily medication reminders simple, clear, and easier to manage. Whether you are managing your own medications, helping an older adult, or caring for a family member with dementia, PillPop provides an intuitive way to organize medications, dose times, pills per dose, meal timing, and treatment duration.
PillPop supports multiple user profiles. Each person can have their own name, profile photo, medications, and medication history. Existing user names and photos can be edited at any time without affecting their medications or previous records.
For older adults and people with dementia who may find smartphone interfaces difficult to use, PillPop includes an Elder Simple Mode and spoken medication reminders. Users can choose between a simple spoken reminder or a detailed voice reminder that can read the person's name, medication period, medication name, strength, number of pills, and before/after meal instructions. If no medication record has been added, optional follow-up voice reminders can be played again after 30 and 60 minutes.
The Today screen clearly displays scheduled medications for morning, noon, evening, bedtime, and custom times, including the total number of pills due. PillPop highlights the current or next medication period so users can quickly see what needs attention. Each medication can also have its own custom reminder time.
If a scheduled dose has passed without a record, PillPop keeps it on the Today screen as a red missed-dose alert while allowing the next scheduled medication period to continue normally. Missed items do not block the rest of the day's medication flow. Users may add a medication record later when appropriate or manually remove an individual alert.
When adding medication, users can enter information manually or scan a medication bag, label, or prescription with the camera. Text recognition and AI-assisted parsing can help organize medication name, strength, pills per dose, medication times, before/after meal instructions, and treatment duration into an editable draft. Every AI-recognized result must be reviewed and confirmed by the user before it is saved.
