New in ZAR Rewards 1.2 Vouchers that don't get forgotten Keep your vouchers with their barcode, QR code or number, ready to show at the till. Add more than one per shop, and get a reminder before each one expires. Rands at Risk shows what's about to run out. Tickets and passes Add a ticket or event pass from a screenshot of its QR code. You're reminded the evening before and on the morning, and on the day it's first on your home screen, ready at the door. Mark a single-entry ticket as used once you're in. Check my slip Photograph your till slip after you shop. It ticks off what you bought, keeps what you didn't for your next list, adds the shop to your spending, and picks up your points balance when the slip prints it. The slip is read on your phone and never uploaded. Suggested at this till When another of your cards earns or pays at the shop you're in, like Discovery Miles on HealthyFood at Woolworths, the card screen tells you. Shopping lists A list for each store card. Link items to the exact product so whoever shops buys the right bread or cooking oil, and share the list and card with someone else shopping for a few hours. Also new • Tap a reminder to go straight to the voucher, pass or card it's about • Choose which reminders you get, under More › Notifications • App lock with Face ID or a PIN • Dark mode • Card expiry dates and an archive for old cards • A faster start Fixes • Confirming your email now signs you straight in • The field you're typing in stays above the keyboard • Search results open with a single tap • Reward rates checked against what each programme publishes

Someone else doing the shopping? Send them a link. They get your shopping list and a barcode for the one card that works at that till — so the points still come to you. They tick items off as they go and you watch it happen from wherever you are. No app to install, no account to make. The link lasts a few hours, you can stop it the moment you want to, and you can see every time the card was shown. Check your till slip Photograph a slip and ZAR Rewards reads it three ways: against the list you meant to buy, against the slip's own arithmetic — the same item scanned twice, a line that doesn't match the price printed beside it — and against whether your card earned what it should have. It all happens on your phone; the photo never leaves it. Smaller things • The home screen now tells you why that card is up first, whether it's the one you used last or the shop you appear to be near. • My ZAR shows when its conversion rates were last checked, and says so plainly when they're getting old. The numbers are estimates, and now they're dated ones. • Password reset links no longer stop working if you open the email on a computer first.
