Two color games in one: spot the odd shade before the clock runs out, then rebuild a color from memory. New daily challenge every day. Chromex trains two different color skills in one app. FIND THE ODD COLOR A grid of identical-looking tiles — except one. Find it and tap it. Score, and the grid grows while the color gap narrows. It starts at 2x2 and ends at 9x9, where the difference between right and wrong is a fraction of a shade. Four modes: • Time Attack — 60 seconds, find as many as you can • Survival — start with 10 seconds; correct answers buy time, mistakes burn it • Zen — no clock, no penalty • Extreme — razor-thin gaps, and one mistake ends the run Stuck on a hard level? Three hints per run widen the color gap without revealing the answer. RECALL THE COLOR A single color fills the screen. Memorize it. It disappears, and you rebuild it from memory using hue, saturation and brightness dials. Five rounds, ten points each, fifty in total. Three difficulties: • Easy — 5 seconds to memorize, unlimited time to answer • Hard — 3 seconds, 15 to answer, no hints • Brutal — 1.5 seconds, 7 to answer, near-identical tones DAILY CHALLENGE Everyone gets the same five colors each day. One official run, one score, and a streak to keep alive. PLAY WITH FRIENDS Send a friend the exact five colors you just played and see who scores higher. Or share your week and build a seven-day board together — no account, no sign-up, nothing leaves your phone. BUILT PROPERLY Colors are generated in perceptual color spaces (OKLCH and CIELAB), not raw RGB. That means difficulty stays honest across every hue: a hard level is equally hard in blue and in green. Your guesses are scored with CIEDE2000, the industry standard for measuring color difference. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING Chromex collects nothing. There are no ads, no analytics, no servers. Your scores live on your device and nowhere else. Accessibility: color assist widens the gap, a color-blind-safe palette avoids red-green pairs, and Reduce Motion is respected. Sound and haptics can be switched off. Chromex is entertainment. It is not a medical or professional color vision test, and screens vary in how they reproduce color.
