FAIRER WITH ASSISTS OFF With Assists switched off, dragging a card over a founded Ace pile no longer lights the pile up and gives the answer away. Empty columns and free slots still glow, because they take any card. A GENTLER ASK If you enjoy the early levels, we may ask once for a rating after a clean win. Never mid-game, never after a loss, and never more than Apple allows. SAVED GAMES STAY SAVED With two games waiting behind the menu, opening the Daily or starting a duel now asks you to finish one of them first, instead of quietly replacing one. A Daily you've started waits for you to finish it before a duel or a Theme Pack level can begin, the way a paused duel does. And the Daily is one deal played through, so its header no longer offers a new game.

THE TIME MACHINE A twelfth Theme Pack, and a new kind of stack to go with it. Its categories run in order: Monday before Tuesday, sprout before blossom, and a pile will only take the next step in the sequence. Twenty levels of decades, weekdays and things that grow. YOUR NAME, YOUR CHOICE Pick your board name from our lists instead of keeping the one you were given, and change it whenever you like. Every board you already appear on updates to match. STATISTICS A new page for the long view: games played and won, time at the table, best score, coins earned, your streak and its best, and every pack and deck you have collected. Open it from the menu footer or from Settings. A HOME SCREEN WIDGET Your streak, whether today's Daily is still waiting, and the pack you are working through, all one tap from the Home Screen. IPAD, IN LANDSCAPE The header now stands down the left edge instead of lying across the top, which gives the columns half again as much height. Tall deals no longer run off the bottom of the screen. FAIRER LEVELS Some deals opened with fewer foundation slots than others of the same difficulty, and a slot is also a column, so those levels were far harder than intended. They now get the extra moves that shortfall deserves. Nothing you have already beaten got harder. SMOOTHER PLAY The autosave after every move now writes away from the main thread, so card flips and runs to the piles no longer catch on it. Completed piles also leave their slot the moment they finish rather than on your next move.

THEME PACKS Eleven themed ladders of 20 levels each, from Game Day and Menagerie to Kitchen Table, Passport and Around Town: 220 more levels, dealt only from that theme's categories. Packs open as you climb the tiers (all at once with the unlock), the first two levels of every open pack are free, and finishing a pack pays a 500-coin bonus. A STREAK THAT NEVER NAGS Finish a game and the day counts. A day off never ends a streak, two in a row start a new one, and your best is kept. It shows on the menu and the win page only after you have played, and it never sends a reminder. THE BONUS ROUND Beat a boss level and a Bonus Round waits on the menu: nine cards, three rows, no clock. Swap cards until every row follows suit and bank the coins. ALSO Likeness Stacks is now Follow Suit: you play a card onto another by following suit in meaning rather than in spades or hearts, so the name finally says what the game does. Same game, same levels, same progress and purchase. Card faces are now painted once and kept, so deals, drags and flights to the piles run smoother, and the home screen and Decks got a tidy-up.
