HSL Training

Train Your Color Perception

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Train color perception and memory across five modes, play Endless, and share your results. HSL Training is a color-perception game for practicing hue, saturation, and lightness. Observe the target color, then recreate it with H, S, and L sliders and one-step adjustment buttons. Each answer is scored from 0 to 100 using perceptual color difference (CIEDE2000). FIVE TRAINING MODES • EASY: Lock lightness and focus on hue and saturation • NORMAL: Match hue, saturation, and lightness across five rounds • HARD: Ten rounds with a 30-second clock for each color • ABSOLUTE: Match colors shown against different backgrounds • MEMORY: Memorize each target for 10 seconds, then recreate it while hidden Clear every standard round with an S grade to unlock ENDLESS for that mode. Keep scoring 96 or higher with no round limit; the run ends at 95 or below. EASY, NORMAL, and HARD streaks can be submitted to Game Center leaderboards. ABSOLUTE and MEMORY streaks stay on your device. FEATURES • Fine-tune every HSL value one step at a time • Review scores, grades, and perceptual color difference by round • Share results to social and messaging apps • Save a best score for each mode on your device • Japanese and English interface LIFE Each session costs 1 LIFE. One LIFE recovers at the start of every hour, up to a natural limit of 5. Completing an optional rewarded ad adds 5 LIFE. A one-time Unlimited Lives purchase lets you train without spending LIFE and removes banner ads. Built for designers, illustrators, photographers, color learners, and anyone who wants to turn color matching into a game.
