RecordMyScreen is a native macOS screen recorder and lightweight editor for polished product demos, tutorials, presentations, and walkthroughs.
Record your full display, a selected window, a custom area, or a connected iPhone or iPad over USB. Optionally capture system audio, microphone narration, webcam video, cursor movement, and mouse clicks.
After recording, your project opens in a focused editor where you can:
• Generate smooth automatic zooms around mouse clicks
• Trim and cut clips, reorder them, and adjust playback speed
• Smooth and customize the cursor, and add click effects
• Choose widescreen, vertical, or square canvas layouts
• Add wallpapers, gradients, solid colors, or custom image backgrounds
• Position a webcam overlay or apply device frames to mobile recordings
• Add images, logos, text, highlights, blur areas, and short video overlays
• Edit audio tracks with volume, fades, looping, and ducking
• Preview the composition and copy the current frame as a PNG
• Export H.264 video or GIF
Editing is non-destructive, so your original recording remains available. No account is required to record, edit, save projects, or copy a frame. Pro subscriptions unlock video export and Quick Export. Existing purchases can be restored in the app.
