Drop a folder, scan once: sortable table, charts, age spread and duplicate detection. Nothing leaves your Mac, and nothing gets deleted. Mika+FileScope answers a question macOS has no good tool for: what is actually in this folder, and which part of it is eating the space? Drop a folder in, scan once — and that single pass produces five views of the same set of files. SORTABLE TABLE Every extension that occurs, with count, total size and share of the whole. The one type that makes up 98% of the folder is impossible to miss. CHARTS A donut for the size distribution and a bar chart of the largest types. The eight biggest individually, everything else as one collected entry. AGE DISTRIBUTION How much of the folder is from today, from last week, from last year — and how much is simply lying there. Split by file count and by volume. DUPLICATE DETECTION Finds files with identical content through their SHA-256 checksum, not through their name. Shows how much space would be freed, and opens any hit in the Finder. CATEGORY FILTER Images, documents, video, audio, code, archives — table, charts, totals, export and duplicate detection all follow the selection. MENU BAR An optional icon keeps the totals and the five largest types one click away, without the window being open. EXPORT The breakdown as CSV for a spreadsheet, or as JSON for a script. TWO THINGS THAT ARE DIFFERENT Nothing leaves your Mac. No account, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads. The app makes not a single network request — you can read that in the public source. It deletes nothing. Duplicate detection shows you what is stored twice and opens it in the Finder. What happens next is your decision. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
