Swish Cooking: Recipe Saver
Save from links & videos
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
You save a cooking video, then never find your way back to it. Simmer turns it into a recipe you can actually cook from.
Paste a link, or pick a video or a screenshot from your library. Simmer reads the subtitles burned into the picture, splits out the steps, sorts the ingredients, and pulls a photo for each one. A minute later you have a clean, structured recipe.
[Save it from anywhere]
· Video links — downloaded and read frame by frame, burned-in subtitles included
· Recipe pages — structured recipe data pulled straight off the page
· Photos — collage screenshots are split apart automatically, one tile per step
· Your own clips and typed notes work just as well
[Organized so you can cook from it]
· Ingredients grouped into mains, sides and seasonings
· Ingredient names color-matched inside the step text, so you stop cross-referencing
· Change the serving count and every amount rescales
· Every step gets a photo from that exact moment in the video
[Swap any photo, frame by frame]
Scrub the original video and pick the frame you want. Simmer remembers the timestamp, so next time it opens right where you left it.
[Cook several dishes at once]
Every dish side by side, timers running together. What needs turning and what is still braising, in one glance.
[Grocery list, already added up]
Plan what you are cooking and the ingredients merge into one list. Something used in three dishes is listed once, with the amounts summed.
[The right meal at the right time]
Set when you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Cook tab shows that meal's dishes when the time comes — and stays put while you are still cooking.
[Take a photo when you are done]
Your cooking log lays out on a calendar, with your own photo on each day.
[Your data stays on your phone]
No account, no sign-up. Recipes, photos and logs live on your device, and subtitle and image recognition run entirely on-device. Nothing is uploaded.
Simmer is for people who save cooking videos and never come back to them, who want to write down how their family makes something, and who cook three or four dishes at once and could use a hand keeping track.
