You rehearse the hard conversation in your head a dozen times.
Then you have it once, badly.
Aplomb is a rehearsal room for the conversations that matter.
You speak out loud with an AI partner who plays the other
person — a manager who deflects, a sister who gets defensive,
a date who goes quiet — and they push back the way real people
do. Afterwards you get a clear breakdown of how you handled it.
Rehearsals that happen silently never test the part that fails:
your voice, in the moment, under pressure.
PRACTISE WHAT'S ACTUALLY COMING
Situation Prep builds a scenario from your own situation.
Describe the conversation you're dreading and rehearse that
one — not a generic example.
60 SCENARIOS ACROSS SIX AREAS
• Work & Career — ask for a raise, push back on a deadline,
speak up when someone takes credit
• Romantic Relationships — raise what you've been avoiding
• Social Confidence — openers, group conversations, exits
• Family & Friendships — boundaries with people you can't
simply walk away from
• Dating — keep it going, say what you want
• Boundaries — say no and hold it
SEE WHAT TO CHANGE
Every session ends with a skill breakdown — clarity, warmth,
assertiveness — and your progress over time. Not a score for
its own sake: the specific thing to do differently next time.
QUICK GAMES

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Every scenario now sets the scene: where you are, what just happened, why it matters and what you want out of it. Choose "They start" and you'll also see their opening line.
• See your words on screen as you speak. On iOS 26 and later, your side of the conversation is transcribed right on your iPhone.
• Fairer feedback. Filler and hedging words are now judged in context, so "I don't know" as an honest answer or "like" as a verb no longer count against you. And you get credit for shaping a plan, even when the other person suggests it first.
• The people you practise with stay in character more reliably.
• Sudden Death is retired while we rework it. Quick Take and Tell It Back are still here.
• To help us find what's confusing, the iPhone app now records screen replays with everything you say or write blacked out on your device before anything is sent. Details are in our privacy policy.
