iPhone
Ten machines, milled and simulated, on one rack. Two are free forever, and the other eight open as a demo — try every machine first. Neither way of buying renews.
Ten machined fidget toys you can actually feel.
A hinge, a knob, a snap, a zipper, a lighter, a plunger, a comb, a sheet of iron
filings, a bearing spinner, and two beads on a string — each one a real 240 Hz physics
simulation driving the Taptic Engine. Behind a bolt you have to throw to get in.
No ads. No timers. No scores.
THE DRAWER
One rack, racked by what the hand does.
TURN
PIVOT — a hinge with a real detent. Free, forever.
KNOB — a detented dial that clicks under load and coasts when you let go.
SPINNER — the tri-lobe on a real bearing. One flick, twenty seconds of whir, and a thumb on the rim to grind it down.
PRESS
SNAP — a sheet of domes. Each one buckles once and pops back. Free, forever.
PLUNGER — charge the pins, then let the whole thing go at once.
LIGHTER — a flip-top. The wheel spins, the flint catches, and any stroke can miss.
DRAG
ZIPPER — a run of teeth under the tab, every one of them a separate event.
COMB — thirty-four teeth. Run your thumb along them; every one bends and slips, a shade higher than the last.
FILINGS — iron dust on glass over a magnet. Sweep the bar and it gathers a burr on the poles that grows and ratchets under the thumb; lift, and the metal scatters and flies home in half a second, ready to sweep again.
SWING
BEGLERI — two beads on a cord. Swing one, flip it over your finger, knock it against the other.
And BOLT, the drawer's own front door: slide it right and the channel comes open.
HOW IT WORKS
Nothing here is a recording. A deterministic physics core runs at 240 Hz and every click, catch and rattle you feel is integrated out of it — mass, friction, spring rate, the exact velocity your thumb was moving. Miss the detent and you feel the miss. The audio is modal synthesis baked from the same model, so a machine sounds like the thing you just felt, not like a sample that happened to fire.
The shop around the machines is flat and quiet: a name at the top, the rack, and nothing explained. Dark or light, or whichever one the phone is already in.
Built for ProMotion. Portrait. iPhone only. Works with the ringer off — the haptics are the point.
THE FINISHES — ALL FIVE, FREE
Brass, steel, copper, black oxide, titanium. Each one is a different hand speaking the same vocabulary: a different weight to every click, a different voice under it. One pick moves every machine in the drawer, cuts a new face into each one, and changes the home screen icon to match.
These are free, and they always will be. A haptic is not something you can judge from a screenshot, so we would rather you felt all five of them on the free machines than read about them.
CARE
No account. No analytics. No network of our own - the only thing that leaves the phone is the App Store purchase itself, handled by Apple. Nothing else does. There is no rating prompt, because the app does not ask you for anything.
—
KNURL is free with PIVOT and SNAP on the bench and all five finishes with them. The other eight machines, and the wear they earn, come with THE FULL DRAWER, sold two ways: a single year, bought once, or a one-time purchase that is yours forever and takes in every machine cut after it. Both are shown in the app in your own currency, and neither renews automatically - the year simply ends when it ends, and buying another one is a decision, not a default. Each of those eight opens as a demo first, a bounded allowance counted on the machine's own odometer and spent once, so you can feel a machine in the hand before you decide about it.

2.1 — TRY EVERY MACHINE
Every locked machine now opens as a DEMO. It carries a bounded allowance counted on the machine's own odometer, roughly five minutes of working it, and the machine screen shows DEMO over the balance while you do. It is spent once, across launches, and nothing refills it. When it runs out the machine locks.
The LIGHTER now opens on a shake as well as closing on one. Flick the wrist with the lid shut and the top comes up.
The PLUNGER's crown ring takes the machine's accent and brightens with the charge banked on the pins, so you can see there is something to let go of.
And a machine's caption wraps instead of clipping at the largest text sizes.
