See how much daylight you actually have left, track true solar noon, and watch the sun set behind your real local mountains.
Clocks and time zones are useful, but they don't tell you much about the actual day. 3:00 PM feels completely different in the middle of summer than it does in dead winter.
Surya Time gives you a different way to look at time. Instead of locking you into a grid, it tracks the sun from the exact spot you are standing. It takes your daylight from sunrise to sunset and divides it into 12 natural hours, stretching out during long summer days and shrinking in the winter. At a glance, you always know exactly where you are in the day.
Here is what makes it special:
A dial built around daylight
See how much sun you have already enjoyed and how much is left before dark. You can view the day as traditional solar hours or just as a clean percentage of daylight.
Your actual skyline, not a flat line
Most weather and sun apps show a generic flat horizon. Surya pulls real elevation data around you, so you can watch the sun disappear behind the actual hills, ridges, or peaks in front of you.
Vantage Map
Want to squeeze a little more light out of your evening? Vantage Map shows you nearby lookouts and ridges, and calculates how much extra sunset you get if you hike up there before dusk.
Works completely offline
Save the terrain around you (30, 60, or 200 km) before you leave. When you are out on the trail with zero cell service, the skyline and sun calculations still work seamlessly.
Widgets for home and lock screen
Keep an eye on the sun without having to open the app. Choose from five clean widget styles that update automatically as you move around.
True local noon
Standard time zones stretch across hundreds of miles, which means 12:00 PM on your watch almost never matches when the sun is actually at its highest point. Surya shows you real solar noon for your exact coordinates, plus how far off your watch really is.
Point to the sky
Can't spot the moon behind clouds or trees? Hold your phone up, and the sky pointer directs you right to where the sun or moon is sitting.
Private and quiet
No accounts to create. No logins. No ads, tracking, or background analytics. All the astronomical math runs right on your phone.
