CoolReserve: Pantry

Rescue fridge food, save money

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Thank you for the review of CoolReserve: Pantry. Below is the information needed to continue. PRODUCT CoolReserve: Pantry is a local-first fridge and pantry desk for households. It helps shoppers see perishable food as dollar value at risk of expiry, rescue leftovers with meal matches, plan the week around what they already own, shop only for missing ingredients, and keep a simple savings ledger. Target users are home cooks who waste paid-for groceries and want a money-first view of inventory. The app solves invisible food waste by ranking stock by urgency and estimated cost, then guiding rescue meals and gap-aware shopping. Value: less waste, clearer fridge capital, and meals that use what is already home — fully free, with no account. HOW TO ACCESS MAIN FEATURES (NO LOGIN) There is no registration, sign-in, demo account, paid content, subscription, or user-generated content network. All features unlock on first launch. 1. Launch the app. Complete or skip the short onboarding (household size / goal / dietary preferences are optional). 2. Desk — at-risk capital summary, top rescue opportunities, and savings overview. Demo stock may appear after onboarding so review can proceed immediately. 3. Stock — browse inventory by zone; add or edit items with quantity, unit cost, and expiry; mark used or wasted. 4. Rescue — meal matches ranked by estimated dollars saved; Use Remainders mode to cook from current stock. Recipes are bundled in the app. 5. Plan — week board, gap-aware shopping list, and local savings ledger (export available from Settings). 6. Optional Capture — choose a grocery receipt photo for on-device text recognition; confirm suggested lines before saving. Fridge photos are reference only and do not auto-create items. 7. Settings — household preferences, privacy policy link, and data controls. Sensitive-data prompts: Camera and Photo Library appear only if the reviewer uses Capture. Processing uses Apple Vision on-device; photos are not uploaded. There is no location access, no tracking, and no microphone use.
