Electricity prices change every hour. FranjaLuz turns those changes into useful decisions: when to use power, how much it will cost and where you can save. No sign-up, with official data from Red Eléctrica de España.
Today and tomorrow at a glance
See whether the current hour is cheap, medium or expensive, browse all 24 hours as a list or chart and share the day's prices. Tomorrow's prices arrive as soon as they're published, around 20:15. Until then, you get our hour-by-hour estimate, which sharpens once the wholesale market sets its prices, plus the solar and wind forecast. In “Estimated vs. actual” you can see how close we got each day.
Self-consumption
Got solar panels? Turn on Self-consumption and, next to the consumption price, you'll see the hourly PVPC surplus compensation price, in History too.
Your appliances
Enter the power and typical usage of your appliances. FranjaLuz estimates what they cost to run, finds the cheapest slot each day and works out your possible monthly savings. When you use one, follow its cost live.
Alerts you control
We'll alert you when the cheapest or most expensive slot begins, when the price crosses your threshold, when a saved hour arrives or when tomorrow's prices are published, right on time or up to an hour early. Create your own reminders in My alerts, write your alert text with the time or price, and choose from five sounds.
With “Only in my zones”, mark your home, work or other places on the map and we'll only alert you when you're there. Zones stay on your device and we don't keep a location history.
Widgets and Apple Watch
Check the price without opening the app with three widgets, one with a barometer. On Apple Watch, scroll through the coming hours with the Digital Crown, find the best hour and set alerts from your wrist. Add the complication to your watch face or the Smart Stack.
Price and generation history
Pick a period or everything since June 2021 to see the average, the cheapest and most expensive stretches, the comparison with the previous period and the price for each hour of a day. Compare days hour by hour and see which technologies generated the electricity, how much was renewable and how much CO₂ was emitted.
Your way
Mainland Spain, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla; dynamic, light or dark mode; €/kWh or €/MWh; and levels named Cheap/Medium/Expensive, Off-peak/Mid-peak/Peak or Trough/Plateau/Spike. In English, Spanish, Catalan, Galician and Basque, and offline with prices already downloaded.
FranjaLuz Premium
FranjaLuz is free with ads. Premium removes them and raises the free limits: from 1 to 5 zones, from 1 to 12 custom alerts, custom text for every alert type instead of just one, from 3 to 7 days in the comparator, and from the last month to the full generation history back to 2011. Available as a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-off payment. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple Account settings.
About the data
FranjaLuz shows prices for the PVPC, Spain's regulated tariff; the estimate is a forecast and the official price is the one that counts. Surplus prices are those of the PVPC with simplified compensation; on a free-market tariff they depend on your contract. Appliance costs are estimates based on the power and usage time you enter. The app doesn't connect to your installation, doesn't measure real consumption or production and doesn't replace your bill.
