A camera that shoots straight into your vault. Pick the folder first, then shoot: timer, grid, zoom, flash, video quality, and the volume button as a shutter. Nothing lands in your camera roll. Notes, encrypted like your photos. Pin the ones that matter, sort, search and share. Documents. Scan papers into a PDF with the camera, bring files in from Files, and read PDFs right in the vault. A private browser. Nothing it visits is remembered once you lock up, and a long press saves a picture or a file straight into a folder. Sync at a glance. See when each device last synced, and repair anything that lagged behind. Videos get a scrubber, and the viewer stays put when you turn your iPhone sideways.

Two new rooms in your vault. • Camera. Take photos and videos straight into any folder. Nothing you shoot here ever touches your camera roll, so there is no original to delete afterwards. Included in Free. • Notes. Passport numbers, door codes, the things you'd rather not keep in Notes. Encrypted with the same key as your photos and synced through your own iCloud. Three notes in Free, unlimited with Premium. On iPhone the vault now has three tabs: Photos, Camera and Notes. On iPad and Mac they sit in the sidebar under "Also in your vault". Also in this update: Live Photos and edited photos now sync between devices reliably.

A new look for dark mode. Sanctum now wears the deep navy shared by all Axiom Digital apps when your device is in dark mode. Light mode is unchanged. Also fixed: the sync status at the bottom of your vault no longer says "Waiting for iCloud" after a quiet launch. It shows when your vault last synced instead.

Share into Sanctum from any app. Tap Share in Mail, Messages, Safari, Files or Photos and choose Sanctum. The photo or video is encrypted on your device the moment you share it, and appears in Unsorted the next time you unlock your vault. Saving from an email or a message sends it straight into your vault. It never has to land in your photo library first. Sharing from Photos saves a copy. To move photos out of your library in one step, use Import inside Sanctum, which offers to delete the originals. Also in this update: a plan badge shows whether you're on Free or Premium, purchases report clearly if anything goes wrong, and photo imports are saved to your vault immediately.

Deleting a folder no longer deletes the photos inside it. Previously, removing a folder also removed everything in it, permanently. Now the photos move to Unsorted and the folder asks first, telling you how many items it will move. Nothing is deleted. If you have deleted a folder in an earlier version, please check Recently Deleted — and accept our apology. Your photos should never have been at risk from tidying up.

Free now includes 30 photos, 2 videos and 3 folders, and Settings shows your usage so the limit is never a surprise. Anything already in your vault stays yours — the limits apply to adding, never to what you've already saved. Also in this update: • Fixed a crash when opening a photo on Mac • Large videos import without running the app out of memory • A newly created folder no longer loses its place after an import • Unlock now says Touch ID on the devices that use it
