Home Inventory keeps a clear, photo-backed record of what you own, room by room. If you ever need to support an insurance claim, move house or simply find a serial number, everything is in one place and ready to share as a PDF.
DOCUMENT EVERY ROOM
• Create rooms with their own icons and add items with name, brand, model, serial number, purchase date, price, currency, quantity, notes and tags.
• Take photos with the camera or pick several from your library, then drag to reorder them.
• Search by name, brand, model, serial number, notes or tags. Sort a room by newest, name or price and filter it by tag.
• Copy a serial number with one tap.
CLAIM PACK FOR INSURANCE
• Generate a PDF summary with per-room totals, item tables and optional photo thumbnails. Add your name to the report if you like.
• Get a ZIP with every photo, organised by room and item.
• Share both from the share sheet with your insurer, by e-mail or to Files, to support a claim.
VALUES, AS YOU ENTER THEM
• 57 currencies. Each item keeps its own currency, and totals are listed per currency, never converted.
• Values are the purchase prices you type in, kept for your records. They are not appraisals.
BACKUP, EXPORT, IMPORT
• Create a full backup with photos and restore it on this or another device.
• Optional passcode-protected backups: the backup file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your passcode. If you forget the passcode, the backup cannot be opened.
• Export or import item lists as CSV or JSON.

Home Inventory is a record-keeping tool, not insurance, legal or financial advice. Values are the ones you enter and are not appraisals; currencies are not converted. Whether a record is accepted is up to your insurer. Keep a backup somewhere safe: your data lives on your device, so we cannot recover it for you.

• Before you start: a short Terms of Use and Privacy Policy acceptance on first launch, plus a Legal section in Settings with Terms, Privacy, Data deletion and Contact.
• Each item keeps its own currency. Totals on the dashboard, in rooms and in the Claim Pack PDF are shown per currency, never converted.
• Purchase dates stay on the day you picked, in every time zone.
• Restore now checks a backup file completely before replacing anything. If the file is damaged or the passcode is wrong, your current data stays untouched.
• CSV files now open correctly in spreadsheet apps, including notes with several lines. Dates are exported as yyyy-MM-dd.
• The Claim Pack PDF now renders item names written in Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and Simplified Chinese.
• Accessibility: better contrast in every theme, layouts that work with large text, labels on icon buttons, and reduced motion is respected.
• Deleting a room also removes its photos, and "Clear all data" also resets your settings.
• Stability fixes.
