Herald is a digital business card that actually saves. Hold up your code, the other person points their camera at it, and their phone opens its own contact screen with your name, number, email, links and photo already filled in. There is no landing page to tap through and no form to fill in. The person who scans your card never installs anything; this app is only for you, and it is optional.
On an iPhone the contact opens by itself. On Android the contact file downloads by itself, ready to open and save. The saved contact keeps your photo, your labeled links like Shop and Booking, and a note such as "Scanned September 1, 2026 in Denver" so they can place you months later.
You pay once for your card, and editing it is free forever. Change your number and every future scan serves the new one, from a printed card, a Wallet pass, or the code in your email signature. A contact somebody already saved is their own copy and stays as it was.
Your Code, Everywhere You Reach For It
Apple Wallet. Add your card and your code waits on the lock screen, no unlock needed. On iOS 27 the pass wears your card's own colors or logo, and it always opens your latest details.
Home screen widgets. Your Card draws the whole card as you designed it. Your Code puts the code alone at scanning size. A logo card can fill its widget edge to edge; drag and zoom to choose what shows.
Show My Code. Open your code in one press from Control Center, the lock screen or the Action Button, or with a long press on the Herald icon. Inside the app, every block on Herald's own home screen is your real code.
Apple Watch. Raise your wrist and your card is there in its own colors, code in the middle. Tap it and the code fills the face for a reader held far away. A Show My Code complication opens it from any watch face, and your cards stay on the watch when your phone stays home.
No signal. With no connection, Herald opens on a screen of every code you own, full size. A card you photograph offline is kept and read once you are back online.
Their Card, Into Your Phone
Photograph a paper card and Herald reads it straight into your phone's contact screen. If the card prints a headshot, that photo becomes their contact picture, and Adjust Photo lets you reframe it. A code in the frame, on a screen or the back of the card, is read first.
Or keep them in Herald with a note about where you met. Photograph a sign-up sheet or a roster and up to sixty people come back as contacts; nothing is kept until you tick who stays.
A smudged digit is flagged for you to fix, and an email is never pieced together from a name and a company. Lists export to CSV for your CRM.
Build It Your Way
Describe a look in a sentence and Herald writes the palette, or type your exact brand colors. Choose from ten faces for your name, or make your logo the whole card, with a code that takes on your logo's color. Bring your old card over by pasting its link, uploading a .vcf file, or photographing it.
A live preview shows exactly what lands in their contacts while you type, and a free test card lasts an hour so you can scan it with your own phone first.
Knowing It Works
Scan counts for every card, a scan log with an approximate area from the network, follow-up days to mark handled, and an in-app bell that lists each scan as it lands. Herald never records who scanned you.
For Teams
An admin sets the company logo, name and website once, and every approved card wears them. Admins approve a card or ask for changes with a note, and can never edit what someone wrote. When somebody leaves, one press switches their card off, and no admin ever sees a teammate's scan log. Details shared back through team cards collect in one Team Contacts list.
Staying In Control
Switch any card off and its code stops working everywhere at once, printed copies included. Switch it back on and the same code returns. Lock the app with Face ID, add two-factor sign-in, and delete your account from the Account screen.
