Amber, wherever you type and browse. • The Amber keyboard for iPhone and iPad: your library sits above the keys. Tap a text card to type it into any app; tap an image or file to copy it, ready to paste. Add it in Settings › Amber Keyboard. • Text shortcuts: give a text card a shortcut such as ;addr in its editor, and typing it with the Amber keyboard puts in the whole text. Delete straight after to get the shortcut back. • Keep in Amber from Safari on the Mac: turn on Amber in Safari › Settings › Extensions, then click it on any page to keep that page in the project you choose, without leaving Safari.

A way to tell us what you think. • Settings › About has a Rate Amber on the App Store row, so you can leave a rating whenever you like. • Amber now asks for a rating only after it has helped you a few times, never on your first copy.

A fix for the Mac. • Settings on the Mac now shows your real sync status. It could say “On this device only” while your cards were in fact syncing through iCloud.

Links, titles, and Pro that unlocks the moment you have it. • Links have a home on iPhone: a Links chip sits beside Text above your cards, and search offers it too. • Every link shows the page's picture, the site's icon and its name, and the page's own title instead of a bare address. Open a link right from its card. • Amber names what you save: keep a snippet, a screenshot or a PDF without a title and it gets a short, useful one from what's inside. Edit it any time, or tap Regenerate title. • Redeem a promo code and Pro unlocks straight away — no need to tap Restore. A purchase on another device or an approved Ask to Buy arrives while Amber is open, too. • Hit the free limit while keeping something and the upgrade screen opens full height over what you typed, which is still there when you come back. • Closing the promo code sheet no longer says the code failed.

Fixes, mostly on the Mac. • Select several cards and drag them onto a project: every one moves now, and one Undo puts them all back. • Click anywhere that isn't a card to clear a selection. • ⌘F puts the cursor straight in search, and the search field has one clean background. • In Keep, press Return to keep the card (⌥Return starts a new line). • Changes made on your iPhone reach the Mac sooner. • Videos and audio files get their own smart shelves instead of landing in Other files. • New automations lay out cleanly on the Mac, and Client pack no longer suggests Unsorted. • Tidier Settings: no stray border in the sidebar, Signal removed from Integrations.

A calmer, more consistent Amber. • On iPhone, Overview, Home and Settings are tabs under the same Amber bar, with Embry beside the name. • Overview is built for a quick review: today at a glance, one-tap Keep clipboard, Fill a form and Import, and swipe a card to copy, pin, delete, mark a reminder done or push it an hour — each with Undo. • Make and manage projects on iPhone from Home. Card titles sit on one line, and tapping outside search puts the keyboard away. • Group your cards by Projects, Type, Last used or Date. Cards are only as tall as what they hold. • “Copy again” replaces the Ready row: the cards you have copied before, one tap to copy. • On iPad and Mac, smart shelves sort themselves: text snippets, images, GIFs, PDFs, Word documents and more, with nothing to set up. • Settings is tidier: Purchase and Appearance first, a ? beside each option instead of paragraphs, a Retry button when sync has a problem, and a page showing everything Pro includes. • Share to Amber takes anything: a message, a link, a photo, a PDF, a Word document or any other file from WhatsApp, Signal, Slack, Messages or any app becomes a card, in its original format — a GIF stays a GIF. An empty library has one button, Add a card. • On iPad, All cards is arranged by project like the Mac, and cards pack neatly with no gaps beside tall pictures. • On the Mac, search sits wide in the middle of the toolbar and Settings is redesigned. • Show Mode's QR code is gone.

A new look on every device, and a Mac window rebuilt around it. • Dark by default: black and grey with white words. Or light: white and amber with black words. Choose in Settings › Appearance, or let Amber follow your device. • New icons throughout, each in its own colour, thinner card edges, and white sheets and fields in light mode. • On the Mac the sidebar holds only your places: All cards, your projects and your smart shelves, with a line between each. Agenda, Fill a form and Summaries sit in the toolbar beside Keep and search, and the toolbar can be rearranged. • Settings on the Mac is a window with tabs, Automations and Integrations among them. Tutorials and the keyboard shortcuts are in the Help menu, and the Mac walkthroughs show the new window. • A new Amber Pro screen: what Pro includes, one payment of the price shown, and Restore purchases, in one place. • Fixes: a long library no longer stalls while it scrolls, the new-shelf field on iPhone comes into view when you tap +, and card menus read correctly to VoiceOver.

Amber on the Mac, properly. • All cards is a folder view. Every project is a section with its own heading that you can fold shut, and dragging a card from one section to another moves it, with an Undo that puts back both the card and the order you had arranged. • ⌘⇧A opens Amber from whatever app you are in. Return opens the card you have selected, Backspace deletes it with an Undo, and Space is left alone for the system. • Search and Keep now sit together in one bar that floats at the bottom of the window, with the shortcut reference beside them. • Twelve walkthroughs written for the Mac rather than borrowed from the phone, each a short silent clip — including beaming a card from your iPhone to the Mac. • A card that arrives announces itself once: a notification and a tone when Amber is hidden, a highlight on the card itself when it is not. • Every kind of card is distinct at a glance, the sidebar reads as its own panel, and the lock is gone: a card you kept is a card you can open.

Cards sit on a warmer surface with a lit edge now, so a full library reads as a set of objects rather than one flat page — in both light and dark. Fixed: the introduction could stall on its first screen with the Continue button disabled, and Embry was clipped at the top of that screen. Fixed: opening Integrations could freeze the Mac app. Settings now credits the people who made Amber.

Edit what you kept, and two fixes. • Cards can be edited. Open a card and tap Edit to change its title, or the text itself on a snippet or a detail. Amber could keep anything and change none of it until now — correcting a typo meant keeping the card again and deleting the original. • Beaming a reply with blanks in it no longer stops at a dead end. The message said to fill it in first and gave you nowhere to do it; now there is a Fill it in button right there, and the finished text beams. • The Calendar, Contacts, Reminders and Photos screens no longer hang on a spinner when the thing they are reading does not answer. They wait, then say so, and offer to try again. • The introduction is filmed now rather than photographed.

A new introduction. • The tour is four screens now instead of six, and two of them are things you do rather than read. Tap the card on the third screen and it really is on your clipboard — leave Amber and paste it anywhere. • If you already had something copied when you opened Amber, the last screen offers to keep it. Take the offer and your home screen has your own first card on it, instead of being empty. • New photography throughout, and a larger, clearer promise on every screen, in light and dark. • You can replay the introduction any time from Settings.

Fixes, and a bigger window on the Mac. • A file that is still arriving from iCloud now says so, and appears the moment it lands. Before this, a card whose contents had not finished syncing claimed they weren't on this device at all, and told you to go and open another one. • On the Mac, opening a card shows the picture or the document straight away, at the size of the window, instead of a small panel with a button to press first. • Find is on Command-F, where every Mac app puts it. It moves the cursor to the search field.

Import your snippets, projects, and a new introduction. • Bring what you already have. Paste a list, or open a CSV, JSON, Markdown or text file — Amber reads exports from TextExpander, Raycast, Alfred and Apple's own Text Replacements, turns their placeholders into Amber's blanks, and shows you every snippet before it keeps a single one. Switch off the ones you do not want. What you import lands on a new shelf named after where it came from, and one tap on the toast undoes the whole import. • Your shelves have a name for their top level now: a project. A client, a case, a launch — with shelves inside it and cards on those. Nothing moves and nothing needs migrating: every top-level shelf you already have simply is a project. • A project can hold a smart shelf scoped to it — a saved search that stays inside the project, including shelves you add later. • On iPhone, the Projects screen shows the tree indented instead of a flat list of every level. • The introduction has been rebuilt. It follows your finger between screens, the progress trail is tappable so you can go back several at once, and Embry keeps you company the whole way through. • Larger, clearer type throughout the introduction, and a warmer dark mode. • Fixes: the toolbar's two identical + buttons are one, long rows no longer push the header's counter into a column of digits, and text fields scroll clear of the keyboard before you type.
