For many children, a lost tooth is when money starts to feel real. LumiJar makes that moment a lesson in saving: the fairy's coins land in Jarly, their coin guardian, and your child sorts them, saves for a goal they chose and watches it fill.
Between teeth, Jarly keeps it going. Your child earns by finishing missions, decides what to save and what to spend, and learns to follow through, keep track of what's theirs and own their choices. It's the start of real financial literacy, practiced with you as the bank, before a real card.
And something else happens, too. Your child's fairy isn't only there when a tooth comes out: you can send a letter in her name anytime, and every word is yours. A finished mission is something you notice and approve. A goal reached is a yes you get to give. LumiJar gives your family small, everyday reasons to connect, not just a list of tasks.
EVERY WEEK
- Set chores and allowance. Your child sees them as missions to complete.
- Your child sorts new money between a Savings jar and a Spending jar, and moves savings toward their own goals.
- When a goal is full, your child asks to get it, and you say yes or not yet.
- Requests come to you. Approve what your child wants to spend, see their wishlist, and suggest a wish as a goal.
- Money in, money out, and moves between jars show up in a history your child can read, so they learn to keep track of their own money.
- Badges to earn, and three levels that grow with your child.
WHEN A TOOTH COMES OUT
You get to be the tooth fairy. Log the tooth, choose what the fairy leaves, and add a note in her name. Your child's fairy visits, the coins land in Jarly, and your child sorts them. Your child even names their own fairy.
A KEEPSAKE THAT GROWS WITH THEM
Every tooth becomes part of a keepsake: the date, which tooth it was, and your notes, saved on their own baby tooth chart. Big moments like the first tooth earn a certificate signed by their fairy, ready to save or share with family. Years from now, you can look back through all of them.
YOU'RE IN CHARGE
- Virtual money only. LumiJar never holds, moves or stores real money or card details. You decide every amount you give.
- One parent account per family. Children get profiles under your account, never accounts of their own, and a PIN keeps the parent side for parents.
- Link a child's own device with a one-time code from your account, and turn it off anytime.
- Built around children's privacy law, with parental consent before any child's profile is saved.
- No ads. No data sales. No tracking.
- Notifications go to parents only. The routine comes from your family, not from the app.
- Delete your account and your family's data anytime from Settings.
