Atlas Helios is a private screen recorder built for Apple silicon Macs. Choose a display or window from clear previews, record the audio sources you need, and save the result as an MP4 file on your Mac.
RECORD WITH CONTROL
• Select a display or individual window from visual previews
• Turn system audio and microphone recording on or off independently
• Choose 1080p, 720p, or 480p before recording
• See practical estimated file-size ranges before you begin
• Record for up to three hours per session
• Save standard H.264 MP4 files to a location you choose
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Recording and MP4 processing happen locally on your Mac. Atlas Helios does not upload your recordings, collect analytics, require an account, or add a watermark.
BUILT FOR LONG RECORDINGS
Atlas Helios checks available storage before recording. If the final save cannot be completed, recoverable recording data remains available so you can choose another destination instead of losing the session.
OPTIONAL HELIOS TAB LOCK
For Chromium-based browsers, the optional Helios Tab Lock workflow moves the selected browser tab into a dedicated recording window. Other tabs can remain in your normal browser window without unexpectedly replacing the recorded content.

Source selection now shows up to eight displays and windows at once in a four-column, two-row layout, with carousel navigation for additional sources. The live recording preview is larger, making it easier to confirm the selected source before and during recording. Selecting a source, starting, stopping, and saving remain separate controls.
