Motive turns a floor plan into a murder mystery. Read the clues, rule out impossible positions, and work out where each suspect stood. Once everyone is in place, the only suspect in the victim's room is the killer.
A CRIME SCENE YOU CAN SOLVE
Rooms, furniture, and the positions of other suspects all matter. One clue may narrow a room down; another may reveal the exact square. Combine what you know until the whole scene fits. Every case has one solution you can reach through logic.
SIMPLE RULES, LAYERED DEDUCTIONS
• Place each suspect on one square.
• No two people share a row or column, including the victim.
• Some furniture blocks a square; the furniture guide shows what can be occupied.
• Every clue is true. The challenge is working out what the clues mean together.
YOUR INVESTIGATION TOOLS
• Mark positions you have ruled out on the board.
• Review statements in your evidence notebook and mark the ones you have checked.
• Undo your last move as you work through a deduction.
• Check room and furniture guides when you need a clearer view of the scene.
• Use a hint when you need help moving forward.
KEEP TAKING ON CASES
Start with smaller grids, then work toward larger scenes and more demanding combinations of clues. Progress through generated cases, earn achievements, and climb the online leaderboards.
