Dates are stored as civil dates (YYYY-MM-DD). They stay on this iPhone through force-quit, timezone changes, and app updates.

Your log stays free either way. Restore Purchases is in Settings.
Mileage due lights up when you tap Update miles. Date reminders need permission; they do not need an account.

Privacy: logs and receipts never leave this device. StoreKit is the only network call (the $2.99 unlock).
