Chipmaster tells you which club to chip with. Not from a generic chart — from your own distances. Enter what each club actually chips, and the planner works out which one leaves the ball closest, given how far you are, how much of that is green, and which way the ground runs. REAL CARRY AND ROLL Loft decides how far a chip runs out after it lands, and rough eats that roll about twice as fast as the putting surface does. Both are in the model, built from measured shots on course and a study of roughly 6,000 chips. You can check it on the practice green — that is the point. SEE THE SHOT The terrain view draws the whole chip: the carry, where it pitches, and the run-out to the pin. Drag to move where the green starts. Set the slope of the ground in front and of the green itself, and watch the answer change. STARTS USEFUL, GETS SHARPER Every club is pre-filled with typical amateur distances and marked as an estimate, so the planner works the first time you open it. Replace them with your own numbers as you measure them, and the estimate tag disappears. IT LEARNS FROM YOUR MISSES After a chip, log it as short, close or long. That club's distance tunes itself in small steps that shrink as evidence builds, so it settles rather than chasing your last bad shot. You can always see what it learned, and undo it. NO ACCOUNT. NO SIGNAL NEEDED. No sign-up, no subscription, nothing uploaded anywhere. Your clubs are saved on your phone and stay there — including on the far side of a course with no bars. The shot drawing now shows how much of the chip runs over the ground in front of the green and how much over the green itself, and it keeps that split when you change the distance — set the picture once and the length after. Carry and roll are marked as the estimates they are rather than given to the tenth of a metre.
