SoomRun — Race Yesterday's You

Your only rival is your past

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.

Most running apps rank you against strangers. The top 1% sit at the head of the table, and someone who started last month never finds their row. SoomRun has no table. There is one rival, and it's the you from yesterday. ■ Your past run, replayed in real time SoomRun replays an earlier run at the exact pace you ran it. It works out where that runner would be right now, and tells you whether you're ahead or behind — in metres. No history yet? Your first run races a target-pace ghost. Run once, and from then on yesterday's you takes over. ■ Bring in the runs you've already done If your past runs sit in Apple Health — logged by any app — SoomRun can import them on day one. They become your rivals: your strong day, your average day, your easy day, before you've run a single kilometre with SoomRun. It never reads your location. Distance and time, plus heart rate and calories when they're there. ■ One number while you run How far ahead you are. That's the whole screen. Pace, time and distance are there when you want them, not before. One tap on the wrist when you pull ahead. Two when you get caught. Every kilometre, a spoken update on the gap. You can finish a whole run without looking at the screen once. ■ Apple Watch, on its own Leave the iPhone at home. The watch tracks the run and carries your rival with it. When the two meet again, the run merges automatically — no duplicates. A gauge traces the edge of the watch face to show how far you've come. It's built to be read out of the corner of your eye. ■ A receipt at the finish Every finished run is laid out as a receipt: pace per kilometre, the gap at each split, and how it ended. Save it as an image or share it, if you feel like it. ■ SOOM+ — Future You (optional) Everything above is free. Nothing gets locked. SOOM+ adds one more opponent. Write down a goal — "10K in 50 minutes" — and we build a ghost that runs exactly that pace. Not yesterday's you. **The you you're training to become.** Three weeks free from your first finish, no card required. Stop paying and the goals you already made stay playable; only making new ones stops. $24.99/year or $3.49/month, auto-renewing. Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. ■ No feed. No followers. No likes. There is nobody else in SoomRun. That's deliberate. ■ Your runs stay on your phone. Backup is your call. Signed out, nothing leaves the device — not your runs, not your routes. Make an account and they're backed up, so a new phone still knows your record and every ghost you've raced. Everything works without one. Sign in to back up and your heart rate and calories travel with the run. There is no third-party analytics SDK and no ad SDK. Location is used after you start a run and stops the moment you finish. SoomRun asks for "While Using the App" only. ■ English and Korean, equally Both languages were written, not translated. You can switch inside the app, independently of your device language. Distance units follow your region, so English keeps kilometres if that's what you use. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion were part of the design from the first screen. • • • "Soom" (숨) is Korean for breath. If you're forty-two metres ahead of yesterday, you won. ■ SOOM+ subscription SOOM+ adds one thing: "Future You" — type a goal finish time and the app builds an opponent that runs at that pace. Everything else is free.
