Most number puzzles are solo. This one has five ways to play someone else - and the duels wait for you.
Most number puzzles are something you do alone. This one you can play against someone.
Crack a code of all-different digits. Every guess comes back as pegs: green means right digit, right place. Amber means right digit, wrong place. Grey means that digit isn't in the code at all. Three digits to start, five when you want the long game.
FIVE WAYS TO PLAY SOMEONE ELSE
• Quick match — dropped straight into a live game against whoever's waiting
• Open duels — a public board of standing challenges, pick your opponent
• Invite a friend — share a six-character code
• Take turns — one guess at a time, no rush
• Friend challenge — aimed at one friend, who plays when they're free
DUELS THAT WAIT FOR YOU
Turn-based play is the point here, not a fallback. A friend is somebody who might be asleep, and a mode that needs you both holding your phones is a mode you can almost never use. Play a guess, put the phone down, come back when they've had theirs.
TWO KINDS OF DUEL
• Same code — one code, both of you hunting it. Identical puzzle; the only variable is the two of you.
• Standoff — you write the code they have to break, they write yours. Watching somebody close in on your number is the better half of the mode.
FAIR BY DESIGN
Turns alternate and a solve only ends the duel once both sides have had an equal number of turns — so going first is never worth half a guess. In a shared-code race your opponent's digits stay sealed until you've played the same round, because seeing them early would hand whoever moves second an extra clue.
SOLO, WHENEVER
A board you can play anywhere. No account, no network — solo works fully offline and reports itself when you're back.
FRIENDS, NOT A DIRECTORY
People are added by a code they read out to you. There's no searchable list of strangers here. Report and block are separate acts, and blocking cancels a duel rather than costing you a loss.
NO SIGN-UP
No email, no password, no account to make. Moving to a new phone takes one code from Settings.
