Nerovail is a calm, beautiful memory game about the sea. A small wooden boat leaves its home port and sails a route across a hand-painted ocean, touching islands, docks, anchors and lighthouses along the way. You watch it happen. Then the glowing line vanishes, the boat drifts back to port, and the chart is yours to rebuild — one waypoint at a time, in exactly the order you saw them. That is the whole game. Watch, remember, retrace. No timers hurrying you in the early levels, no accounts, no ads interrupting a run, no internet required. Just a quiet ocean and the pleasure of finding a path you already know. A route you have to earn twice Every level starts the same way: the waypoints light up one by one, the boat sails between them, and a soft blue line draws itself across the water. Then it all disappears. Tapping the right marker rings it with foam, stamps it with its number in the route, and extends your line one leg further. Tapping the wrong one costs a heart — but never the whole voyage. You always get to keep going, find your footing, and finish what you started. The sea gets less friendly The first few voyages are gentle: three waypoints, clear water, nothing to punish a wrong guess. After that, Nerovail starts taking things away and adding things back. Decoy waypoints appear — real islands and real docks that simply are not part of your route, so remembering *which* stops mattered becomes as important as remembering their order. Rocks clutter the chart and lead nowhere. Storms churn on the surface and cost you a heart if you drift into one. Fog banks roll in the moment the route disappears, hiding whole sections of the map behind cloud, and suddenly you are navigating from memory alone — unless there is a lighthouse on your route, in which case tapping it burns a hole in the fog just long enough to get your bearings. Whirlpools open up in the deep water. And all the while the preview gets shorter: four generous seconds at the start, barely two by the end. Twenty charted levels, then the open sea Clear all twenty and the Captain Challenge unlocks: up to twelve waypoints, every hazard at once, fog on the water, and a clock running down in the corner. It keeps going as long as you do. Perfect voyages Finish a route without a single wrong tap and you earn a Perfect Voyage — three gold stars, a bigger payout, and a boat that sails the whole route in triumph while the line lights up behind it. If your route ended at a treasure chest, coins burst out of it and fly into your purse. A harbor worth spending on Coins come from finishing routes, from flawless runs, from the hearts you did not lose, from treasure you brought home, and from time left on the challenge clock. Spend them in the Harbor on five boats — the Azure Skiff, the Crimson Gull, the Emerald Drift, the Golden Lantern and the Violet Comet — and on four ocean palettes that repaint the entire game, from the bright Azure Bay to the warm Sunset Tide, the near-black Midnight Deep and the green-lit Aurora Reef. Six awards to chase First Voyage. Calm Navigator, for five clean levels in a row. Treasure Hunter. Perfect Memory, for ten flawless runs. Sea Veteran, for the full charted twenty. And Master Navigator, for surviving the Captain Challenge. Built to feel good in the hand Nerovail ships with no music files and no sound library. Every sound is a short, quiet system tone and every buzz is a native iOS haptic, used only where it means something: a light tick when you commit to a waypoint, a soft warning when you are wrong, one clean pulse when the route is complete. Nothing rattles in your palm for the sake of it, and both sound and haptics can be switched off from the home screen. Fair by design Restarting a level always gives you back the exact same chart — same waypoints, same route, same hazards, same positions. A level you failed is a level you can actually learn, not a new roll of the dice.
