ShotSumo lives in your menu bar and takes you from screenshot to shareable, annotated image in seconds — no window to find, no app to switch to. CAPTURE, YOUR WAY • Region — drag out exactly the area you want. ShotSumo freezes the screen and shows its own on-screen selection overlay so you can pick a precise rectangle; press Esc at any point to cancel, and nothing is captured. • Window — pick any open window with a click. • Full screen — grab an entire display instantly, with one menu item per display when more than one is connected. A global keyboard shortcut (⌘⇧9 by default, fully rebindable) starts a region capture from anywhere without opening the menu at all. ANNOTATE IN SECONDS Every capture opens straight into a fast, focused editor: • Rectangle, ellipse, and arrow markup, each with its own colour and stroke width. • A pixelate tool for redacting sensitive information — obscure a password field, a name, or an account number before you share anything. • Undo/redo and zoom controls so you can work precisely without leaving the keyboard. COPY OR SAVE, INSTANTLY ⌘C puts a flattened, full-resolution PNG straight on the clipboard. ⌘S saves it using a clear, timestamped file name: the first time you save, ShotSumo asks you to choose the folder it should use, and every save after that goes there instantly, with no dialog to click through. Everything is yours — you decide exactly where on your own Mac files are saved, you can change that folder whenever you like in Preferences, and the file can be revealed in Finder the moment it lands. ALL TOOLS, NO ACCOUNT Region, window, and full-screen capture, and all four annotation tools, are available the moment you open the app — no account, no sign-up, and no time limit on how much you capture, annotate, or save. PRIVATE, VERIFIABLY ShotSumo is a private screenshotter: nothing is ever sent to the internet, or anywhere else. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no usage statistics of any kind — and nothing to opt out of, because the app carries no network entitlement at all, so it is not merely configured not to reach the internet, it is technically unable to.
