Point your camera at a membership card, gym card, library card, loyalty card — anything with a name, number, or barcode. Tessera reads it on your device, shows what it found, and lets you correct anything before creating a real Apple Wallet pass.
SCAN ANY CARD
Hold your card inside the frame and take a photo. Text and barcodes are recognised instantly using Apple’s Vision framework. Nothing is sent anywhere for recognition.
YOU CONFIRM EVERY DETAIL
Card name, holder name, member number, and expiry date are all editable. Recognition is a starting point, never the final word. Extra details appear on the back of your pass.
A PASS THAT LOOKS LIKE YOUR CARD
Tessera picks up your card’s colours from the photo, so a green gym card becomes a green pass. Seventeen templates recognise common card types, and popular brands get their familiar colours too. Add your own logo or choose any colour by hand.
REAL BARCODES, NOT PICTURES
Tessera reads the value behind your barcode and Wallet draws a fresh code that scans at the counter like the original. If Wallet can’t draw that barcode type — such as EAN-13 or Code 39 — Tessera places a scannable version on the pass instead. Can’t be read? Type it in.
THE RIGHT KIND OF PASS
Membership cards, coupons, event tickets, and season passes each use the appropriate Apple Wallet layout — never a one-size-fits-all template.
REMINDED BEFORE IT LAPSES
When a card has an expiry date, Tessera can remind you a month before, a week before, and on the day.
YOURS TO KEEP — OR SHARE
Back up your cards through your own iCloud, if you choose. Share a household card — a library card or leisure pass — so everyone who needs it can carry it. Delete a card and Tessera offers to remove its Wallet pass too.
BUILT PRIVATE
Your card photo is read on your device and then discarded — never saved or uploaded. Only the details needed to create and sign a pass are sent when required, and nothing is retained afterwards. No account required.
A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS
Tessera creates a personal digital version of a card you already own. It is not an official credential and cannot create government IDs, driving licences, or passports. Some places may still require the physical card.
