Amber Sudoku is a quiet, private sudoku: no account, no tracking, and your progress never leaves your phone, with 146,000 puzzles that each have exactly one solution and a permanent number you can pass along, a daily puzzle that ramps from gentle on Monday to expert on Sunday, and a streak that never asks you to pay to repair it.
Puzzles you can trust. Every board is generated and checked to have exactly one solution, and none of them ever needs a guess. Four difficulties (Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert) are graded by the logic each puzzle actually requires, from simple singles up to X-wings and chains, so the label on the tin matches what is inside. Each difficulty holds ten years of play at ten puzzles a day, and every puzzle keeps its number for good: Hard #4,201 is the same grid for everyone, today and in a decade.
Hints that teach. A hint does not just fill a square. It shows you the move and why it works (which row, column or box forces it), and if you have made a mistake somewhere, it points at the wrong digit instead of building on top of it.
A daily worth coming back for. One puzzle a day, the same for everyone, easier at the start of the week and harder by Sunday. A calendar fills in as you go. Three small goals a day give you something to chase, and a perfect day gets a gold ring. The streak is honest: it counts the days you solved the daily, and nothing else.
Made for staring at. A warm amber palette, an ivory board, crisp slab numerals with true lining figures so every row aligns, pencil marks, auto-notes, undo, an optional strict mode, and a timer you can hide. Four themes to choose from, every one checked for legibility, including in grayscale, because a sudoku you cannot read is not a sudoku.
Private by design. No sign-in. No analytics. No tracking prompt, because there is nothing to track. Your boards, bests and streaks live in your phone's local storage and go nowhere else.
