**Tip: Make BareText Your Default Text Editor**
**Method 1: Use the context menu (quickest)**
1. Control-click any .txt file in Finder
2. Choose Open With > Other…
3. Select BareText in the dialog
4. Check "Always Open With" in the bottom-left corner
5. Click Open
**Method 2: Use Get Info (applies to all files of this type)**
1. Select any .txt file and press Cmd+I (or right-click > Get Info)
2. Expand "Open with" and choose BareText from the menu
3. Click the "Change All…" button in the bottom-right and confirm
4. BareText now becomes the default app for all files of this type
