Every task becomes a bar from the day you start to the day it's due. Lay them all out, decide when and what matters, and slide to reschedule. 1.1: Memo, Project, English The due date arrives before you've decided when to start. Before you notice, deadlines are closing in from every side. So lay them all out, and decide when to do them and what matters. PatTask. A board you decide on, and move with your finger. ■ Three to ten days of tasks, on one board Each task is a bar from its start date to its due date, and the higher the lane, the more it matters. Today is always the left edge. All three are positions, not numbers, so you see them at once. ■ Judge on the board, and move things Drag a bar sideways and its dates move: the middle for the whole span, an end for one of the two. Up or down changes the lane. The date you'll land on appears above the bar. Move something and the picture changes: a day opens up, you notice it, and you move again. Past the due date a bar turns red — reschedule with your finger, with every other task's dates on the same screen. ■ You can start on it before its start date In progress is the top lane. Not a level of importance: it's where what you're actually working on goes, up to three. The bar is the plan, the lane is what's happening. ■ Once it's In progress, go straight into focus Not a Pomodoro timer. You decide how long to focus, and breaks don't cost you the time: interrupt a 30-minute focus at 12 minutes, rest for 10, and you resume with the remaining 18, recorded as one 30-minute focus. ■ Write one line, tap a date twice The first line is the name, anything after a line break is the detail. Tap a date above once for the start date, again for the due date. The field opens low, so the board stays visible: you decide while seeing which days are open. ■ Split it, and log what happened A large task splits into subtasks, created as real Apple Reminders. A task's details take dated updates one line at a time — a call you made, something noticed later — with photos and files. ■ Events and tasks, on one calendar You decide to get it done today, and the day is already full of meetings. The day view runs midnight to midnight and opens around 8am, so events you can't move and work you can place freely share one timeline. Events are saved in Apple Calendar. ■ Memo — a line becomes a task Notes you write the moment something occurs to you: headings and bullets, photos, PDFs, recordings, handwriting and scans. A thing to do stays on the line you wrote it on. Hold the line and add a task, or start the line with /task, and that line becomes an Apple Reminder on the board and calendar. The line's text doesn't move: a circle goes at its head, the date at its end, and ticking the circle completes the task. Apple Reminders gets only that line and its dates; the body and attachments stay in the memo, and tapping the bar opens the memo. Remove the dates and the reminder goes; the line stays. Text in photos, scans and handwriting is read on the device and can be searched. Export as text, Markdown, PDF, TextBundle or ZIP. ■ Project The bookings, what to pack, the documents: tasks, memos and events in one plan, each with a role. Flow lays the whole plan out on the same kind of chart as the board. Delete a project and nothing it held is deleted. ■ Made to work with Apple Reminders Your Reminders tasks are handled as they are: edit, complete or delete one in PatTask and it's the same in Apple Reminders. Delete PatTask and what's in Reminders stays. ■ Also - English and Japanese. You can put something into a project as you create it. ■ Other tab Other has joined the bottom bar: projects, the task list, notifications, the launcher and settings, one tap from any screen. ■ Calendar - The day view now runs from midnight to midnight, opening around 8am, so evening events have a place - Work blocks are offered for today and tomorrow only; once placed, the chip stays so you can move it later - Pick a task and tap the timeline to place work at that hour; the chips above follow as you page - Fixed: a task with only a start date could line up on the midnight row ■ Also - After updating, a one-time notice introduces Memo and Project. You can turn the Memo tab on or off, and change it later in Settings → Bottom tabs - Bottom tabs: show, hide and reorder the calendar and memo tabs in Settings - Sync network: choose the network for sending and fetching attachments. Video is Wi-Fi only to begin with - Fixed: an event could fail to save right after granting calendar access - English is now supported
