Set a timer and walk away. Its alarm now reaches you with the app in the background, the screen locked, or the app closed entirely. NEW - Timer alarms arrive wherever you are. A countdown you start is handed to iOS the moment you set it, so it sounds whether the app is in front, behind another one, on a locked screen or closed. Tapping the alarm opens the match screen - the one the alarm is about. - Timer alarms come through a Focus. Coaches turn one on during a match so texts do not interrupt the game, and an alarm that went quiet for the same reason would be self-defeating. - The app says what would stop you hearing one. When you begin a match it checks notifications, notification sounds, Time Sensitive delivery and the volume, and names anything that would leave a timer silent - the worst first, one line each, nothing you have not been asked about yet. - Change the match format up to the first whistle. The referee announces forty-minute halves when you set up for forty-five, or you meant to count quarters rather than minutes: Quick Actions now has Adjust Match Format, which changes the periods, their length, how play time is counted and the equal play standard - and keeps the lineup you have already placed. It disappears at kickoff, because from then on it would be rewriting a match that is being played. - Saved matches can be locked. A locked match refuses deletion rather than warning you about it: unlock it first, then delete it. Swipe right to lock or unlock, swipe left to delete. CHANGED - The alarm sounds like notes rather than a siren - a rising set of tones, just as easy to hear across a field and less like a health-and-safety alarm. - A timer no longer dies at the end of a period. Only the final whistle clears them, so a countdown you start for the break lasts through the break. - The menus say more in less room. A setting's value now sits beside its name in smaller type - Bench Warnings @10, Auto Stop Clock On, Clock Counts Up - instead of taking a second line, and the clock menu drops the rows that cannot do anything before kickoff. - Player Availability reads properly on a phone. A player's status sits under their name instead of squeezing it, so a name no longer wraps three characters at a time. - Match Reports marks a match that was plainly never played, with its play time beside the date. - The soccer ball that opens Quick Actions is bigger. FIXED - Tapping a timer alarm could close the app before it drew a frame. - The section that divides the match on Start A Match is called Match Format, which is what it sets.

Every match you play is kept now, and every report it could produce on matchday it can produce again. NEW - Match Reports, on the home screen. A finished match is saved when you exit it, with its score, its squad and everything that happened in it. Open one weeks later and the match time report, the events report, the free substitution form and the game lineup card all come back exactly as they were at full time, each one ready to share as a PDF. - Search is one field, and every word has to match something. Type a team, an opponent, a player or a date: "riverside ada" finds the Riverside match Ada played in. Dates are searched the way you would say them - September, Saturday, Sep 12 - in the app's own language. Sort by date, team or opponent, and filter to one team. - Every saved match shows its score, whether you won it, and the cards you picked up in it. - Deleting a match says what it does not touch. The match and its reports go; season totals are not changed. CHANGED - The match screen can be read at arm's length all the way down. Its confirmations, menus and panels used to open at body-text size in a white box over the black field, which is exactly the moment you are standing in the sun with a match running. They are the app's own cards now: big, bold, high contrast, the same family as Quick Actions. Start A Match and the end-of-match reports keep the ordinary system look, because you fill one in before the whistle and read the other after it stops. - Adjust Time is a panel instead of two wheels. A wheel shows its neighbors at half opacity and takes a three-line drag to land on; minutes and seconds are the same chevron-number-chevron control as the timer and the score now, laid out as one clock. Seconds stop at 59 rather than carrying into the minutes, because you are copying a number off a watch, not counting up to it. - The events report starts at the whistle. Setting a side out is a dozen drags and not one of them is the match, so the report had been faithfully recording your second thoughts. Before the first kickoff it is a team sheet now: one line per player, the starters in the shape they started in, then the bench, then anyone injured or not available. Everything after the whistle is untouched, so a halftime change is still a substitution. - The events report marks what kind of thing happened, down the right of the page. A green triangle up for a substitution on, a red one down for one off, a cross on a red disc for an injury, a checkered flag for full time. - The match time report shows the share of available time beside the play time. A player sent off at 35 minutes of 50 reads 100%, not 70%, because what they are measured against is the time they were there for. - The free substitution form reads two ways, Traditional and Minutes, and opens on Traditional. It follows the legend printed above the chart to the letter, so an injury takes the dash instead of hiding in a blank that means an available substitute. - The home screen is a grid. Start A Match keeps its own row, with Match Reports, the tactical planner, teams and formations as four tiles under it. FIXED - In Spanish, every Share button read Porcentaje. One entry in the translation was doing duty for a verb and a noun, and the noun won. - In Spanish, the buttons that end a period read "terminar el Tiempo", with a capital in the middle of the sentence. English title-cases every word of a button label; Spanish capitalizes only the first. - The bench's press-and-hold menu no longer flickers while the clock runs, and the bench sort control no longer flips the direction behind the panel it has just opened.

A tactical board you can actually draw on, and an app that talks like a coach. NEW - Lines you can go back to. Press and hold a line - anywhere along it, not only its middle - and bend it round a defender, drag either end somewhere else, make it dashed for a pass and solid for a run, or take the arrowhead off. Five colors, so the pass and the press are not the same yellow. - Two line stampers in the bin, one solid and one dashed. Drag one out the way you drag a magnet. It lands at the angle the stamper shows, with an arrowhead on the far end, because most lines are runs. - Numbered markers. Drag one out to write a number on the grass, for a corner that happens in an order. The bin hands out the next number, so four drags lay down 1, 2, 3, 4 rather than four 1s to correct. Change Number and Change Color are on the marker's own menu, and a line can be drawn from it like anything else. CHANGED - Nothing replaces the board without asking. Copy From Active Match, Load Formation and Open Saved Board all used to take the board on the spot, a row away from the resets that did ask. Each of them now names what is arriving and offers to save what is there first - and cancelling that save cancels the whole thing. - The planner's corner button is CLEAR…, and it opens a menu: Clear Lines, Clear Numbers, or both. It used to clear the lines on one press, which was right while lines were the only thing on the board that arrived in bulk. Every row still asks first, and one Undo puts the board back. - A line drawn from a player follows that player while you drag them, rather than catching up when you let go. - The app talks like a coach, not a spreadsheet. Positions are named in full: Defensive Midfielder, Central Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder, Wide Midfielder. The badges on the field are unchanged. It says jersey number where it said uniform number, which is what your data has always been called and what the printed forms have always said. It says match where it said game - the league forms still say game, because that is what is printed on the paper an official collects. And there are no time outs in soccer, so sorting the bench by time off the field now says so. - Spanish took the same pass. Dorsal, the word Liga MX itself uses, and it fits the sort control the longer phrase was overflowing. Volante externo for a wide midfielder: volante on its own means midfielder, with no width to it at all, so it was naming the wrong player. Delantero centro, which is the order that matches the DC badge beside it. Informe de incidencias for the events report, because incidencias is what football calls the goals, cards and substitutions in a match. - Configure Formations opens on 5v5 on a new install, which is the size a new install can play. - The teams list sorts by squad size, then by name. A 9v9 team no longer sits above a 7v7 one because of its initial. FIXED - The grip on a curved line now sits on the curve. It was drawn a few points off it, which made a bend fiddlier to adjust than it looked. - In Spanish, a line's menu read LÍNEA AMARILLO. Línea is feminine, so it reads LÍNEA AMARILLA now, and the same for the other four colors. - In Spanish, the planner's backdrop button offered MEDIA CANCHA for a half of the field. In Latin American football that is the midfield, so two of the three choices named the wrong thing and collided with the third. They are Campo propio, Campo rival and Mediocampo now, and the longest of them no longer runs off the end of the button. - Two shared reports numbered their pages in English on an otherwise Spanish PDF.

Equal play warnings, and the whole app in Spanish. NEW - Equal play warnings. Pick the standard your league holds you to - everyone plays at least half, or nobody takes a fourth quarter until everyone has had three - and the app tells you before you break it, not after. It marks who must go on, who should sit, and by when. At the last break that can still save the standard it says so, in red. - Choose your language. Automatic, English or Español, in Settings. It switches while you watch - no restarting the app - and Automatic follows your phone. - Spanish. All of it: the match screen, the bench, Call the Subs, the reports, the settings. Position names are the ones a coach actually says, not initials translated letter by letter. The league forms stay in English, because the official collecting them reads English. - Preferred positions, up to five a player, ticked on one screen and dragged into the order you want them tried. The roster line says how well each one fits. CHANGED - A hydration break turns the clock blue while it runs. There was one mark for it before, on a line that something else could outrank. - The collapsed bench says TAP TO PLAN CHANGES - what the tap is for, rather than what it does to the panel. - Quick Actions fits a phone. Nine rows were wrapping onto two lines each; now they don't. - The equal play setting says what it means, with a sentence under it. You pick it once, weeks before a match. FIXED - The play-time report named one player where several shared the same deadline. It names all of them. - A player already on the field could be missed by the warning that was supposed to name them, which is exactly the state a break leaves behind.

Season-long play time recording, support for own goals, and an enhanced Tactical Planner you can put a whole team on. NEW - Season play time on your roster. Games attended, minutes played, share of the time available, and goals. Every number is measured against the time a player was actually there, so a kid who misses half the season doesn't read as one nobody plays. Sort the roster by any of them, and reset them per player or for the whole team. - Own goals. Record one on either side. It moves the score and never reaches anybody's personal goal tally, because it shouldn't. - Injuries. Press and hold a substitute to mark them injured. A red cross sits on their icon, the reports carry it, and putting them back on the field clears it. - More attractive graphics on the Tactical Planner. Several balls on the board at once, and any magnet can change its icon. - A privacy policy and a support link in Settings. CHANGED - Press and hold a score to adjust it, or the clock for the clock menu, and the menu opens next to what you pressed. - The box score reads the way a box score should: one line per scorer, added time formatting improved, and own goal (OG) reporting improved. - Sort by last name as well as first, and every sort control now remembers its own setting. Your roster reads by uniform number, and the lists that ask who is here read by first name. - Roster entry improvements, so it's faster for coaches to get their teams into the tool. - Player Availability during the match shows who is already injured. FIXED - The press and hold menu on the bench no longer flickers during a match. - The injury marker no longer flashes up clipped before it settles.
