They're Listening

Look behind the curtain

Half the game is guessing what your phone thinks of you. The other half is proving you know it just as well. A game in two halves, forever. First: four things your phone might think about you. Pick the one you believe it believes. Then the ad it actually served you appears, full screen, and you say whether it got you. Then it turns around. One clue, four brands, and this time you are the one being tested. That half carries no ads at all. Two meters keep score. One measures how well they know you. The other measures how well you know them. The ads are real. That is the point — you are playing against whatever the machine has already decided you are. • Two alternating rounds, endlessly • Real ads, revealed full screen, with a verdict you give on each • A second half with no ads at all • Nearly 1,900 brands to be tested on • Game Center leaderboards for points and longest streak • No account, no sign-up, nothing to buy
