Every forecast hides good hours. Fairspell finds yours.
Weather apps hand you a wall of numbers and leave the thinking to you. Fairspell does the thinking: tell it what you want to do outdoors and the conditions that suit it, and it scans the hourly forecast to find the stretches of time that actually fit — each one scored 0 to 100, ranked, and explained hour by hour.
WHAT MAKES A WINDOW
A window is a run of consecutive hours that satisfies every rule you set: temperature, rain chance, rain amount, wind and gusts, UV, humidity, cloud cover, daylight. Score 80 or above and it is a fair spell. Between 60 and 79 it is workable. Below that, Fairspell stays quiet rather than wasting your time.
THE HOURS BEFORE AND AFTER
This is the part other apps miss. Mowing wants roughly twelve dry hours beforehand or you are cutting wet grass. Paint and sealant want dry hours afterwards or the finish is ruined. Fairspell checks the hours on either side of a window, not just the window itself, and trims or rejects it accordingly.
START FROM A TEMPLATE
Mow the lawn, Paint the fence, Long run, Wash the car, Astro night, Hang out laundry, Family picnic. Each arrives with sensible rules already set. Drag a band to adjust any of them and the results recompute as you watch.
SEE WHY
Open any window for an hour-by-hour chart, the condition breakdown behind the score, how confident the forecast is at that range, and whether the dry-hours rule was satisfied. Add a window straight to your calendar, or share it.
FREE, AND WHAT THE UNLOCK ADDS
The free version is a complete app: two activities and a three-day horizon, kept free forever. Fairspell Full is a one-time purchase — no subscription, nothing that renews — and it adds unlimited activities, the full ten-day horizon, and a separate place for each activity so the allotment, the coast and home are scored independently.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY
Fairspell collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code. Your location is rounded to about a kilometre before it is used, and it goes only to Apple Weather — never to us. Searching for a place sends the name you type to Apple's geocoding service, and nowhere else. Your activities, places and forecasts stay in a database on your phone.
Forecast data is provided by Apple Weather.
Fairspell is guidance, not a guarantee. Weather changes; use your own judgement before acting on a window, especially where conditions affect safety.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Ask Siri for today's windows, or run a Shortcut, without opening the app. Setup now asks for your location with a plain Continue, and you can still choose a place by hand if you say no. VoiceOver now says what window rows and the refresh buttons do, and reads the Timeline from today. Fairspell Full unlocks the ten-day horizon and unlimited activities with one purchase, no subscription.
