• The report screen fits narrow and folding phones, whatever text size you use. • Polling units in the FCT list only the elections held there. • Near me lists each polling unit once. • Ask Hawkeye reminds you not to type personal details. • The app no longer sends usage statistics to the service that delivers its updates, and the download is smaller.

• Under the hood: an updated app engine, for steadier performance and the latest security fixes. • Everything added since 1.8 reached your phone as live updates; this version keeps them.

• IReV check: after you report a result, Hawkeye checks it against the result sheet INEC uploads to IReV for your polling unit. The outcome appears under Result reports in your profile, with a link to INEC's sheet. • Sheet totals: you can type the totals from the bottom of the result sheet. If your party counts do not add up, Hawkeye tells you before you send. • Practice runs include the sheet totals. • Alerts open in one tap.

• Sign in free by sending a code on WhatsApp. • Ready for election day: a quick check that your phone and account are set up before polling day. If something is switched off, one tap opens Hawkeye Lite in Settings. • My Groups: the groups you have joined, and invites to join them, in one place. • Report cards for collation and incident reports, as well as results. • Alerts: refresh, mark all as read, or clear them all. • National Practice Days on 12 December and 9 January, and a Hawkeye Observer certificate after a practice run and a short quiz. • Invite a second observer to your polling unit. • Choose your polling unit on a full page, and watch evidence videos inside the app. • Practice is more reliable on a weak connection. • More of the app in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, and other fixes.

• Chat with us: talk to the Hawkeye team without leaving the app. • Fixes and improvements now reach you automatically, without waiting for an App Store update. • The menu opens full screen under a green status bar, and pages scroll neatly between the header and the tab bar. • Hausa results pages fixed. • Crash reports help us fix problems faster. They are cleaned on your phone first: no phone numbers, names or report contents are sent.

• Invite links now work: the link you share opens Hawkeye for your friend, instead of pointing back at your own phone. • Practice mode works again — it had been showing a blank screen. • Your receipt card now captures reliably. • Closed races show their declared result correctly. • Follow Hawkeye on LinkedIn from the menu. • Security fixes, and a tidier layout in dark mode.

Your own copy of every result you report — a card with the polling unit, the counts as you entered them, and the ledger entry proving when it was recorded. Practice runs produce the same card, clearly marked as practice. Invite others straight from your profile: your link is there to copy, with a count of how many people signed up and how many went on to observe. Observers on a situation room roster can tell their coordinator they have arrived, from the report screen, before any result is filed. Also fixes a blank practice screen, and the Hawkeye hawk now appears in every header.

Hawkeye Lite now speaks four languages. Choose English, Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba the first time you open the app, and change it any time from the header — every screen follows, including the help and legal pages. A short guided tour on first run shows you where to report a result, report an incident and save your polling unit. Race pages go down to the ward. See a state constituency drawn as its wards, tap a ward to see its polling units, and read counts at ward level as they come in. Your groups. When a campaign asks you to observe with them, the invitation appears there with what accepting shares — accept or decline it on the spot. If you help run a campaign, its situation room opens from the same screen. A much smaller download, with nothing removed.
